shutupnkissme98 answered Friday December 2 2005, 8:21 am:
the usual rate is about 5 dollars per hour/per kid. so if its 1 hour and 1 kid then you would get 5 bucks,if its 1 hour 2 kids you get 10 bucks,2 hours 1 kid 10 bucks...and so on.but if the people your babysitting for are dont have alot of money then charge like 4 dollars instead.
Hope i helped XoXo

well i babysit and i dont charge per kids. i charge on how old they are if you are still changing dypers then yeah it will be more and if you have to feed them i charge on their age, if i have to feed them, and usually $3.50-4.00 an hour.

yourperfectdisaster answered Sunday October 23 2005, 7:26 pm:
It definately depends on the age of the children for what price you should charge. If you are babysitting an 11 year old and a 12 year old, that's not as much work as babysitting one 3 year old. Get my point? So it doesn't necessarily matter how many kids. First you have to look at the ages. A good price for 1 kid (no matter what age) is around $5. If your babysitting 2 kids, look at their ages. If at least one of them is young-ish (under 6), charge around $8-10. If the children are both older (between 7-12 years), charge around $7-8. If there are more than 2 children, keep raising the price. =)

Well the way I charge is $5 for one kid, $6 for 2 kids, and $7 for 3 or more...but you said the town isn't very rich so I would just charge a flat rate of $5, that's a very resonable price! Well I hope that helped! ♥ caitie

I usually charge about 3 dollars per hour when i babysit. And toronto is a really poor town. If there are 3 kids then about 5 dollars per hour. If two kids then somewhere in between.

Although I know nothing of babysitting rates, unless the parents REQUESTED two babysitters, the fact that you have to split the money shouldn't figure into the rate you charge.
