One of my cats has started peeing in my room. Anytime time else he uses the litter box. He only does it in my room. Does anyone have any idea as to why he started to do this or how I can get him to stop? I have 2 other cats and he is our newest one, but we have had him since March. He just started this. Thanks for your help!
Next, you should go to the store and buy Oxy Solution Cat Stain and Odor Destroyer. It gets rid of the cat's scent so it wont go back into your room to pee.

First, this usally happens in older cats but he is being teritorial. If you have carpet use a damp cold colorless cloth and get it all up. Make sure you get it up. Use cleaning products if you have to. You have to get the scent gone. And try socalicing your cat around the others. Try talking to both of them. And I would keep your door closed when your gone and ONLY leave it open when your there and WATCHING. AskBritt [ AskBritt's advice column | Ask AskBritt A Question ]

If he smells it, then he'll keep peeing there. You might not smell it anymore, but the cat will. There are things you can buy in any pet stores for getting rid of the cat urine smell.
Secondly, clean his litterbox more often. This is the number one cause of cats going elsewhere, especially in multiple cat households. Every cat SHOULD have his own litterbox, but a lot of people can't do that, so at least try to keep the litterbox(s) that you do have as clean as possible. If it's dirty, he won't use it.
Get him checked out for a urinary tract infection. This is painful for the cat, so he will only pee a little bit at a time. This makes it so that his bladder stays full and he has to pee more often. That means that he might have to go suddenly, like when he's sleeping on your bed.
Then, get him fixed. Like others have said, cats are very territorial, and when they get to the secually active age (which happens quite quickly) they will begin to spray everywhere to attract females and mark their territory. Even after you get him fixed, it's possible that he's already gotten into the habit and the spraying might not stop right away. You might have to teach him to use his litterbox all over again.
When you get him fixed and check for a urinary tract infection, the vet can also give you some tips on what to do.
Or, at least call to get some advice from the vet.

Also if it a mutiple cat little box if it not kept clean they wont go in it so they pee somewhere that is clean. I have a cat that did that all the time but when he got fixed he stop doing it. UWishUHadMyHemi answered Saturday October 22 2005, 2:53 pm: hmm... because of the other two cats, he may be starting to feel a little territorial. maybe now that hes been with you for awhile, hes decided he needs to make a permanent stake on the premises. thats just what it sounds like to me though... start keeping the door to your room closed for awhile and dont let him in there. maybe he'll grow bored with your room. the only draw back now is that he might start peeing in other rooms, but you said it was only your room so... i dont know. i would say try the *keep him out of your room* thing and see what happens.
