Thongs
This sounds like a really childish question to ask but..thongs.
My mom thinks they give the wrong message across when a 14 year old wears them.
But I still want to wear them because I hate it when you can see the panty lines. They're just so ugly!
They make me feel weird knowing that you can see them! I hate it. There's probably nothing wrong with it, but I still don't like it.
I don't know what to do though. I wear boy shorts alot, they don't show as many lines but I don't really like them. I wanna feel comfortable.
My friend told me to just confront my mom and tell her that I don't like the lines I get with regular panties but I can't do that, LOL. I don't know why.
Any suggestions?

Confront your mother and explain about the panty lines. Also, assure her that you aren't doing it to look sexy, you just dont want panty lines and want to be comfortable.

yepp, well me and my mother grrr are not very close but when my parents saw them they got upset, I really just blew it off but try buying one, and let your mom find it if she confronts you be like " mom ok im 14.." and stuff like that Im sorry if this didnt help but im not to good w/ mom stuff

well i dont see anything wrong with thongs. ive been wearin them since like 6th grade. for the same reason you want them. they are really comfortable and as long as you arent like a slut takin ur clothes off around guys n everyone then it isnt suggestive. just tell your mom you arent a slut and arent taking your clothes off for people and you just want to feel comfortable walking around school and town.

Normally, I don't advise people to sneak around under their parents' noses, but I think this might be one of the few exceptions. I had the same problem with my mom when I first started wearing thongs (sorry if that's TMI). You should just go buy a bunch of thongs to wear and wash them yourself when you mom's not home. Panty lines look really sloppy and unprofessional. I don't blame you for not wanting to have them. I don't mean to diss your mom or anything.. but if you're not going around and showing off your underpants to everyone you see, how is anyone going to know what kind you wear? Underpants mean exactly that.. UNDER the pants.

well you have a few options thanks to the fact that 1.they are undergarnments & 2. theyre sold to minors.
you can:
a. buy one...show that you can keep it inside the pants.
b. buy one, hide it, get in trouble later.
c. bring it up next time your out shopping for underwear and just say you want to try one and see if it helps with the lines. tell her that if they arent confortable of worth it, you'll stop wearing them.
d. last option, hope it doesnt get this far...cut and old pair of undies and make your own.

omg i had the same problem my mom thought it was some kind of sex thing lol ummm did you try talking to your mom tell why you want to wear them you could say that when you can see you panty lines guys look at your but more cuz they draw attition maybe shell fall for that

What you could do is ask your mom to give you some money when you decide to go shopping,buy the thongs even though she is unaware of it since you don't want to confront your mom.When she askes you what you bought you could tell her you bought some supplies or clothing or other stuff you needed anything.Your mom should let you wear what you choose to want to wear it's not her body it's yours she totally needs to start caring about herself instead of trying to pick things for others.

If your mom isnt understanding at all of this then just do it anyways, dont tell your mother.. She might get frusturated with you once and awhile she figures out, but she most likely wont take them away, if she does go to the mall and buy more with your friends.. ( This is what I did @ age 14 , lol ) Cept if youll get in bunches of trouble then just tell her you REALLY dont want to and its because panty lines..

there's a lot of girls like you and you don't want to wear them for sex appeal. Your friend is right you do neeed to talk to your mom about it but have a friend with you for moral support ask your mom if you can at least try it to see if you like it if that doesn't work there's one other option the last resort if you are completely DESPERATE is to borrow a friend's thongs or just go buy them yourself and when your mom sees it explain. Like I said last resort and if you parents are like super strict and big time grounders a really bad idea.

who ever said you have to tell your mom? i have plenty on thongs and my mom doesnt know. she doesnt have to wear thongs so she can just stay out of it. if she doesnt like it, well thats her problem.

Its ok. Your mom will understand if you tell her that it isnt for sex appeal and it isnt like you are showing off your thong to anybody, so it shouldnt matter.
