I think I am heading 2 anorexia. I don't eat normal at school. I skip meals from 8 hours a day and I feel real week. And when I think about eating I get sick to my stomiac. I am only 13 but I am really upsessed with my weight. I only eat about 3-4 things a day. I need help. Thanks and No smartasses Please.

shrink2be answered Monday October 3 2005, 3:48 pm: well, first things first, don't force yourself to eat because that could lead to purdging (barfing) tell your parents, and maybe ask your mom to take you to the doctor, sometimes, its just all mental and not physical, maybe you just think your fat but you arent actually fat.
do what i do, once a week look in the mirror and say three things you love about yourself. then say three things you want to improve on. then for the next week, work on the three things, it can really help sometime. if you need me, you can always im me (jobobtootnfanny)- i'd love to help if you need it. bEaChBuM1719 answered Sunday October 2 2005, 10:26 pm: i was obsessed with my weight for a while too..then i realized that i like myself the way i am..you should appreciate the way you are or you'll never get thru this..heres a tip if you eat about 8 small meals a day it helps you stay skinny..if you eat three huge meals it makes you full and you put on weight
K2204 answered Sunday October 2 2005, 5:31 pm: the reason that you have not eaten alot is because you arnt eating. thats why you arent hungry. if you dont eat for a long time, your body eats off of its self. so you have to eat, then you will become hungry, then your appitite will come back!

Anorexia is really dangerous...get out while you can because once you get into it full swing it is really hard to change the habits of not eating. Ask your mom to buy lowfat snacks and try to eat healthy food. Also, try things like drinking green tea or lemon juice because that'll speed up your metabolism so you can eat normally but still loose weight. also...4-5 smalls meals instead of 3 big meals. and even if your not eating alot, make sure u eat breakfast and if you do it'll be easier to eat later in the day because eating breakfast also jump starts your metabolism. get help ok hun? :) [ SouthernGirl323's advice column | Ask SouthernGirl323 A Question ]
summergrl05 answered Sunday October 2 2005, 1:44 pm: yes you are on your way to anorexia. I really don't want that to happen to anyone, because it is a terrible fate. It can cause serious injuries to your body. What you need to do is eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You could look up diet meals, but no crash diets! They are extremely unhealthy. I don't really eat alot either, but it is good to make yourself eat, even if you are not hungry. Eat at the regular eating times. And most of all, stay away from fattening food and junk food.

Mercy_x_Me answered Sunday October 2 2005, 1:43 pm: Most people who are a diagnosed Anorexic, Bulimic, or Compulsive eater are in denial. If you THINK you might be anorexic, your probably not. You might have a subconscious phobia that's causing you to not eat, ex: fear of choking, fear of upset stomach etc. However, these things are uncommon, and you might just be going through a rough age. The only way you can change your habits is to consult an adult, and ask them to have perhaps a visit or two with a nutritionist, or an evaluation with a doctor. If you're used to your habits, you most likely cannot change them until someone enforces some ground rules and has an eye on you. Well, good luck.
