Home-done Tattoo

Question Posted Saturday September 10 2005, 3:56 pm

Okay.. Some friends and I decided we wanted Tattoos. So we used a needle and Permanent Marker to do them. We scratched/poked the skin a few layers deep.. just enuff to make it almost bleed. Then put layers of marker over the design we carved into ourselves.

Will these Tattoos stay on .. and for how long will they be there?

it's just marker so it'll wash off eventually, but you can get skin cancer from it, and you're gonna have a scar there for like the rest of your life...

Since I can't see them, and I didn't see you do them, I can't really stay for sure. They might stay, but they won't be very dark, and they might heal funny.

My husband used ink from a broken ballpoint and a straightened staple to give himself a tattoo while he was in jail. That was a year ago, and it's faded a lot more than a professional tattoo, but it is still there, and you can still tell what it is. It scarred pretty bad though, and you can see where the scars messed up the tattoo.

Tattoos, done properly, actually bleed quite a bit. If you only did it until you almost bled, it probably wasn't deep enough, which means it probably won't stay. Also, I don't know the safety or the permanance of using permanent marker. I assume that if it was done correctly, it would stay. It wouldn't look as dark as a professional tattoo though. To avoid infection, make sure you take care of them just like a professional tattoo.

they won't stay on.. because permanent marker comes out.. lol it's actually not permanent on skin.. plus.. i woudln't even try to do it.. because the markers could give you some kind of skin disease... but i don't know how long they will be there for... i'm better on at the most 2-3 weeks?

It is amazing the stupid stuff guys will do together when three out of four of them know it is stupid but still partake to appease the first one who is the genuine fool. Think for a moment you are sitting around a room and someoe asks tell us a story about the biggest idiot for a friend you have. If you pause for more than a moment and cannot remember any names congrats, you are the idiot in this case.

The marker will fade eventually so your stupid drawings of Santa Claus or drunken artwork does not stay on. If a scar forms at least it is not an emotional or mental one for doing what a lot of drunk people (though most shops stop them) getting a tattoo or piercing do under the influence of drugs and booze. Thank your lucky stars it never amounted to the real thing you cannot easily erase.

Do yourself a favor visit a real Tattoo shop when nut busy and have them explain tattoos and how painful those are and piercings are to smarten yourselves up on the topic and educate one another.

not at all the marker will wash off in a couple days but most likely you are going to have a scar you should have never done that in the first place
