My innocence has been shattered.

Question Posted Monday August 15 2005, 2:51 pm

Ok the subject sounds a little harsh for what I am about to say. My brother watches porn. I mean alot of porn. Its not really occasional, it's routinely. Sometimes I feel bad because, I get a little curious and I watch a video, but I mean now sometimes I feel sick. I regret ever watching the video because all I can think of is its contents. Thats not all I have seen, I have seen pictures and things on TV. I wish I had never seen any of it, because now my mind wanders to places I don't want it to wander. Does anybody else have this problem? Is there anyway for me to restore my "innocence"?

well you can't have your innocence back but i think its healthy to let your mind wander to places you don't want it to b/c if you don't you can't overcome and then your just more sick but you might find out if you let the mind wander u may not feel sick anymore

Wow, it was probabally hard for you to be drawn into a situation like that! My Advice would be to stay away from the videos and/or channels that conatian anything that you want to consider off limits. When your brother is "enjoying himself" stay away from him. Listen to music, read a book, get out of the house!

About your innocence, pray that you can forget or at least not do it again and over time the vividness of the images will fade. Good luck!

Now don't feel guilty it happens to some people because it builds up a sensational feeling which people get's them curious. You can restore your innocence all you did was watch porn then feel bad about just don't make the same mistake again. You could also go for help and feel normal again.People make mistakes they do wrong things sometimes without noticing it.But don't tell your parents about it if you ever feel curious about someting like this say no and do something you like a hobby or hold that need of it and it'll take time for you not to feel that curiousity of yours just remember other people have that problem as well or worst if that makes you feel any better. You're not a bad person just normal one.

orphans answered Monday August 15 2005, 3:05 pm:
well this curiosity is part of being a teenager most people your age starting at about 13 years old start watching porn and yes when you are a teenager it is natural to think about these things if you dont think about these things you aren't really normal so just try to keep your mind on school at the same time so you dont lose track of that and it will get your mind off of it somtimes, but just consider yourself NORMAL

I have that problem. When your brother is watching porn go away from him and blast the radio. Curiousity is normal for teens. All my friends have that problem. We just dont look at it and focus on other things.

I hope I helped! Please Rate!

friend2all answered Monday August 15 2005, 3:00 pm:
being curious is natural as you enter your teenage years as long as it isn't exploting children of a young age (stars of the porn) the innocence you talk about is that your are curious about how u can ecplore sex yet i dont believe you are ready for sex.
the message is its natural and everyone does it. It becomes more serious if you are being fored to watch or take part in sexual attivity without your concent and if you are under the age of concent of sex . i hoped i helped a little
