mooch789 answered Monday August 15 2005, 7:39 pm: Go to bed early, wake up and drive or take the bus to school. Grab something to eat along the way or at school. Maybe this way you won't always be late. Good luck! Hope I helped! [ mooch789's advice column | Ask mooch789 A Question ]
tellmemore381 answered Monday August 15 2005, 4:14 pm: Wake up early.. try getting ready in the exact same order everydayand timing how long it takes you. Do everything at that same time every day. That way you know if you are on schedule or not. This helped me, hope it helps you! <3 [ tellmemore381's advice column | Ask tellmemore381 A Question ]
K2204 answered Monday August 15 2005, 3:58 pm: i do this:
shower the night before
have ALL of the clothes you need for the day set out.
(or you could take a shelf in your closet or room or bathroom and put out the clothes for 2days, 3, or even the whole week!
have your back pack packed the night before as well!!have all of your homework done too!
if you eat cereal for breakfast, set out the cereal box, w./ the cereal in it, and a bowl and spoon the night before so all you have to do is get some milk and pour the milk into the bowl!
anything else? feel free to leave one in my inbox!
orphans answered Monday August 15 2005, 3:11 pm: well my friend used to be in the exact situation you are in and i cant really tell you a routine because i dont kno what you like to do or even if you are a guy or a girl because you didnt say but try this...set your alarm clocks fifteen minutes later than the actual tiem so instead of it being 7:30 it should say that the tiem is 7:45 and then pretend that is the actual time so that when you are looking at the clock you will always be 15 minutes ahead of time :) it really works...i hope i helped :) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

xForeverxForgottenx answered Monday August 15 2005, 2:52 pm: well, about a week or 2 before school starts, try getting up early at different times to see how long you'll need to get up and be ready before you have to get to school. it will also get your body used to waking up earlier. and also, if you dont want to wake up too early, take a shower at night so you can sleep a little later in the morning. hope i helped. TheOldOne answered Monday August 15 2005, 2:52 pm: If your problem is that you have a hard time waking up, try getting a plug-in timer (they're cheap) and attaching a lamp to it. Set it to turn on ten or fifteen minutes before you have to get up. Don't place the lamp so that it's shining directly into your face, but make sure that a decent amount of light shines on your pillow.
This will allow you to wake up more naturally (the light mimics the rising sun), and feel more rested. There are alarm clocks for sale with that light feature (some include a slowly increasing level of natural noises), but those tend to be expensive; if money is short, you can pick up a simple timer pretty cheaply.
Just to be clear, the timer and lamp shouldn't *replace* your alarm clock - they're an ADDITION to your alarm clock.
As for having the time to look nice, make a schedule! And then stick to it. That's easy for me to say, of course, and not necessarily easy for you to do. But if you can stick faithfully to the schedule for a couple of weeks, you should find that it gets easier and easier.
One more thing: if you're not taking multivitamins, you might want to start. I take one before I go to sleep every night, and I find that I have a lot more energy as a result.
