If you dont get yours when your 14/15/ or even 16 that doesnt mean that your not normal. Sure you can inherit your moms genes in that area, but not necessarily. My mom started when s he was 14 and me when I was 11. Just because you havent started yet doesnt mean anything, enjoy not having it, trusttt me, lol =) [ VainTaraLynn's advice column | Ask VainTaraLynn A Question ]
AdviceGiver135 answered Saturday August 13 2005, 12:13 am: Well I belive you should get a different doctor because theres no way that you can predict a first period. Anyways you are normal. I know that it can be annoying waiting to get it. Then it comes and your like i was waiting for this? lol Every girl is different and your period will come when your body is ready. Since you already have most of the other signs, I would wait until you're fifteen then go for another checkup with a different doctor to make sure everything is ok. xcheerbabex108 answered Thursday August 11 2005, 5:08 pm: Even though your 14, that doesn't mean your not gonna get it or anything. You can get your period from ages 9-18. And if you have discharge, that may mean you're getting ready to start. Here are some good websites to visit:
funkymunky817 answered Thursday August 11 2005, 4:32 pm: even if you dont have it yet your normal and blessed. i was sorta like you but opposite i got mine when i was 11 (two years before my mom) and i was relatively flat-chested then so i had no clue. so your normal and as to when you will start it...it maybe near your mother or like me two years AFTER...
*ashlee* answered Thursday August 11 2005, 4:15 pm: wow you had boobs when you were 8? i barely have any now, congradulations. anyway, i think your doctor was an idiot. some girls get their periods when theyre 12, others, when theyre 18. its completely normal, and the fact that your doctor told you when you were 12 that you would get it within the month, makes me cringe at what else he has wrongly told people. if you still go to that doctor, i suggest you find a new one. so dont stress at all, i have a friend who just now got hers and shes 17 and FULLY developed. so dont think your not normal..and pray that god puts it off until your 17 as well. OH yea. also when your very unhealthy your period can be abnormal and somethimes skip a month or come every couple of weeks instead of the same time, once every month. if your so positive that you should have it by now, you might want to look into your daily activities and meals and see if theres somthing your eating or not doing that could be a contribution to you being late. but like i said before, your doctors just an idiot and you may not even get it until your 18, so DONT WORRY. Supermanlover45 answered Thursday August 11 2005, 3:57 pm: The family gene might have kicked in and you probably won't get it until your 15 years old or close to being 15 or a little after. It's normal my aunt didn't get hers til' she was 12 and my mom didn't get hers til' she was 11 I got mine when I was only 9 going on 10. (I think) But yeah everybodies different and everybodies normal. Hope I helped. I just think it's strange that you already got your boobs and your hair everywhere without getting it but everybodies different so I can't complain.
MummuM answered Thursday August 11 2005, 3:37 pm: You'll most likely get it around the same age as your mother; 15. Since you do follow in your mothers footsteps when it comes to periods. Mostly all girls get their period around the same time their mothers have gotten theirs. Don't worry about it, it should come soon. But for now, enjoy not having it! You're blessed!
