Hair Problems Ok, this might sound really stupid, but this bugs me so much. My mom normally lets me get my hair cut before each school year starts but this year she won't. She told me she doesn't feel like I really need one cuz she gave me a trim a couple months ago and she also said she wasn't gonna let me get it done for a whole year! I thought that was pretty harsh. My hair bugs me cuz it gets in my face when I play basketball and I told her I'm not gonna tryout unless I get it cut. How do I convinve her to let me cut it, or ways for me to like my hair.

Hm...comparmise with her say if you let her get your hair cut you'll return the favor by... do something meaningful. If you can go wit a friend to get it cut that's good. Or find new ways to style it. Cornrows, twists, buns, clips. Good luck. ]
well y dunt u make sum money and den go head with a friend and get it cut. n dunt elt your hair or mom get in your way about palyin bball. try to tie you hair up n put but biiby pins. i hope i helped a lil. ]
cut it yourself and make it really ugly (but fixable), then she'll probably let you get it done at a beauty salon to make it better? haha. anyway, good luck with that.

it's healthier for you to get your hair at least trimmed because it prevents split ends.

I have been trying to decide what to do with my hair as well. I hate it in my face and on my neck for some reason! I am leaning towards leaving it as is because at least I can put it in a pony tail and get it off my neck when it is longer. Perhaps that will help you some. :) ]
when my mom wouldnt let me get my hair cut i would always wear it up and in a bun or whatever. well than my mom got so tired of me wearin it up she finally said i could get my haircut. so do that and see if it works. good luck! ]
a year!? Ew. There are going to be really bad split ends then.
My advice: Pay for the haircut yourself. Or have one of your TRUSTED (yes TRUSTED) friends cut it for you. ]
if you just want a trim..do it yourself! i give myself trims all the time..but if you really want it cut, like more then a trim...offer to pay for it yourself and if she won't take you, ask someone else you know or walk or offer to pay your mom like $5 or whatever to drive you there..i mean paying her is kinda ridiculous but so is her not letting you get a haircut. or you could just beg her

You should be able to get your hair cut more than once a year, that's the only way it's going to grow. If your mom won't let you cut it, then you should go to someone and get it done yourself. There's no reason why you can't get your hair cut more than once a year, and it's unreasonable for you not to. If all else fails, cut it yourself.

Cut it yourself. Its not hard, just put it into a pony tale and snip. Plus if she finds out what could she do, glue it back on? ]
Hey, My advice comming from someone who plays sports and hair gets in the way, I would go yo your mom, and say, Mom, my hair is bothering me, If I pay to get a simple haircut (not too short) may I get it done, and convince her that its a god idea, and get your haircut or keep it tied up if she says no. ]
Let's face it, hair cuts are suprisingly expensive. I'm afriad its up to your mom if she wants to pay for it or not. So if you really want your hair cut either pay for it yourself, or cut it yourself. Maybe you have a friend at school whoes good at cutting hair? ]
why dont you walk to a nearby hair place and get it cut and pay for it with your own money, then she cant stop you because its your money and your hair.. why wont she cut it in the 1st place ]
