If you eat junk food all day and run 30 mins its not gunna do anything. If you eat healthy no snacks after 8:00 pm then you will, well should lose some weight. Good luck<3 [ MaNdASzHElP247's advice column | Ask MaNdASzHElP247 A Question ]

TheOldOne answered Monday August 1 2005, 6:17 pm: There's really no way to tell how much weight you're going to lose, because there are too many other factors involved. For example, the following things could all make a big difference:
1. What you eat.
2. Your weight - the heavier you are, the more calories you burn when you run.
3. How fast you're running.
4. What the resistance or incline of the treadmill is.
5. What other exercises you do, if any.
6. Your metabolism - some people lose weight more quickly than others.
7. Your gender - boys tend to lose weight more rapidly than girls.
That said, here are some things you can do to lose weight and improve your health (assuming, of course, that you NEED to lose weight).
Make sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink LOTS of water. Cut down on sugar and fats. Exercise daily.
Mild weight-training every other day will tone up your muscles and give you a better shape. The new muscle tissue will burn fat even when you're not using it. Make sure to give your muscles every other day off from weight-training, to avoid hurting yourself.
Running on a treadmill gives approximately the same results as regular running. You may also want to consider using a cross-ramp training machine. Those are easier on your joints, since they reduce the impact of exercise. If you can find one that exercises your arms at the same time, you should get maximized results.
Cardiovascular exercise like running, swimming, walking, or biking revs up your metabolism, helping your body to burn fat more quickly even when you're sleeping. And you'll find that you have a lot more energy and can sleep better, too.
These are all healthy habits that will stay with you for life.
Buy you have to ENJOY your new habits - that's the key. If you can find a way to have fun eating more fruits and vegetables, and exercising, you're more likely to stick with it. Remember, none of this should be torture - if you're not enjoying it, change your routine to make it work for you.
