Ok i went to Wal-Mart last week and i bought a straightener. (Havent opened it yet) It cost like $30 and its a Conair Ceramic Ultra Slim Straightener 1 5/8" plates. DOes anybody have this?? Its a really bright shiny red and its slim. I just wanted to know if it works or if anybody thinks it will work or whatever. I have thin/thick NOT thin but not think hair if that helps...

But before you start using the straightener go to a salon and get this stuff called "Being Undressed" its for your hair, it makes it shiny and smooth so that way the straightener doesnt fry your hair!
xPunkRockBabex answered Saturday July 30 2005, 11:56 pm: heres my advice for you....dont use a straightener at all! Sure, right now it'll make your hair look shiny and smooth but in the long run its gonna fry your hair. You ruining your hair everytime you use a hair object that heats up such as a straightener, crimper, blowdryer etc... [ xPunkRockBabex's advice column | Ask xPunkRockBabex A Question ]
DancinCutie08 answered Saturday July 30 2005, 10:16 pm: i had it and it was the worst thing i have ever used seriously. if its your first straightener it works ok but once u see other straighteners u can see how bad it is. my hair is sorta in the middle like urs and it works for like 5 min but then it gets all frizzy and wavy again. Buy a Helen of Troy they are much better and your hair stays straight until you get it wet. Its accually a couple of dollars cheaper too! X_Amanda_X answered Saturday July 30 2005, 8:11 pm: I have a straightener very simalar to that one. It works really well for my hair and my hair is REALLY thick. But there's another product that helps make your hair straighter. It's a shampoo and conditioner by Marc Anthony called "Simply Straight" It smoothes out curls and waves so it's easier to straighten.
LlYySsAa answered Saturday July 30 2005, 6:53 pm: Conair products aren't really the best to buy for straightening or for curling hair, I have a Chi and it's the best on the market. They cost around $150 but it's worth every penny!! Hope this helps!!!
