turles and lizards make great pets. but it depends what kind you get. for a turlte i would get a red eared slider. their semi-aquatic and only need a 20 gallon tank. their probably the easiest turtle to take care of. hmmmm, if you want a lizard i would get one that you can handle like a bearded dragon or a leopard gecko. if you get a turtle or lizard go to reptile forums.com and signup. then you can have all of your questions about them answered by knowledgable people, sorry this is so long.

Theres TONS of animals to get now a days. I have a turtle =] Their super cute, and dont.. BARK, MEOW, SMELL, SCRATCH, RUN. Their also not boring either, because you can talk to them, hold them, and play with them. But pets need responsibilty, like.. you would have to wash its cage once in a while, clean its shell, and feed it of course. But, turtles are a great idea, mine is super friendly & sweet. Their not even expensive either. Good luck hunting for yours! =]

Turtle is very cool. Umm.. other options (they might stink... but hey, I'm trying!)

- Horse (expensive.. I know. Trust me.)
- TURTLE!
- Goat (hey, they're cute... sortof..)
- Llama
- Sheep (lambs are adorable!)
- Ant farm
- Butterfly ... house?
- Caterpillers (did I spell that right? It's just fun to catch them and see what they turn into)
- Leaf
- Crab (you only said no fish.)
- Lizzard
- Toothbrush
- Ferret (they aren't half bad if you de-stink them.)
- Skunk (De-stinking doesn't help that much.)
- Rabbit (hey, I like them. They're really cute!)
- Sneaker
- Cow (Moo?)
- Frog
- Hamster
- Guenia Pig (I don't know how to spell that...)
- Guenia Hen (it's a chicken. Not a pretty chicken though...)
- Rooster / Chicken
- Red-backed Cricket (they look like beetles, but they're really crickets)

Umm... I can't think of anything else. Happy pet-searching!

Get a lizard or a frog or something like that. They're kept in cages/tanks so they don't take up too much space, and if you like snakes you might like them too. Of course, if you already have a dog, may be you don't really need another pet.

i always wanted a hamster, cause they are fun to watch, little, and when their nose twitches it is really cute...and soft...or a ferrett, my neighbors had two of them and they were a lot of fun. Of course, all pets are expensive however. Enjoy whatever you get!
