devilspawn_666 answered Tuesday July 26 2005, 8:41 pm: You've got it right. A is the small size. D isn't the biggest size they make, though. It's just the biggest that most stores carry since there aren't too many E's and F's. [ devilspawn_666's advice column | Ask devilspawn_666 A Question ]
hailebop answered Tuesday July 26 2005, 7:21 pm: Cup sizes increase in size with the alphabet, A, B, C, D, etc. A is the smallest size which you can buy in most ordinary shops, but specialist lingerie shops will stock sizes smaller than A cups, which will be AA or AAA (tripple A being the smallest).
Cup sizes can be confusing because they aren't the only factor in your bra size. The number component of a bra size (for example, the 34 in 34C) measures the circumfrence of the body underneath the breast. The cup size (A, B, C, etc.) comes from how much bigger the breasts are then this measurement. This means that somebody who is a 38C needs a larger bra than somebody who wears a 32C despite them having the same cup size.
It's quite difficult to measure yourself properly for a bra, and as it's so important to wear a properly fitted and well supporting bra when you are growing it's a good idea to get professionally fitted. Lingerie shops usually offer this service for free, so it's worth finding a good shop that will help you. All the best. [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]

Mackenzie answered Tuesday July 26 2005, 6:53 pm: A is the smallest. They progressively become larger as the aplahabet continues. AA, A, B, C, D, DD, DDD. Anything above that, you have to go to a special store where they SELL oversized bras [such as M, which some people DO wear] Hopefully this clarifies! =] [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]

MummuM answered Tuesday July 26 2005, 6:17 pm: No, it's the other way around. A's are the smallest, then D's are the biggest. There are bigger sizes then D's though. But that's how it goes.
