X0C0URT answered Saturday July 23 2005, 2:03 pm: Have you tried tennis? I'm a tennis player and I absolutely love it. The benefits are endless- getting in shape (I lost 7 pounds last season!), making new friends, and playing a sports that's really fun. Especially if you're not into team sports, and you'd rather do something that you can play 1-on-1. If it sounds fun to you, go to the park and start playing a little so you have an idea of what to do when tryouts roll around. If you have any questions, please ask!
orphans answered Saturday July 23 2005, 12:59 am: I say SOCCER, it is the best fitness sport ever, you run like crazy and you chase a ball! How much more fun can a sport get, lol. As long as you keep practicing you will get good at it, and believe me, I played my first year ever for Freshmen Team and I never played before in my life, well I have to admit though Im pretty good now 8) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
anne_givings answered Friday July 22 2005, 11:47 pm: have you tried tennis or golf? golf isnt exactly a sport to keep you in shape, but if you arent very sporty, it is something to do, and you can always just go to the gym and work out.... i dont know about sports up north, but sports in texas mean ALOT (especially football) so its always nice to know there's somebody doing something different! if ya have hockey or something or lacross (do they have that in new england?) than you oughta try out for that! hope ya find something ya like!

Mackenzie answered Friday July 22 2005, 10:43 pm: How about softball - that would be fun!! There's also swimming! Swimming is relaxing and enjoyable while still keeping you in shape. And don't forget about DANCE!! Some people don't view dance as a 'real sport', but I disagree. It takes a lot of detemination and effort. It's also a VERY good way to keep your body toned!! Ever consider tennis??? Tennis is a BALL!! I'm not shore if any of these sports work for you, but hopefully they at least give you something to go off of. Whatever you should choose, I wish you the best of luck!! :D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
MHScutie87 answered Friday July 22 2005, 10:40 pm: Is there golf? It sounds kind of dorky maybe, but that would work. Or, you could consider track and field because it can appeal to a variety of skills. If you're good at jumping, you could do the high or long jump, and if you enjoy running, you could always compete in the mile run.. Just find something you enjoy! And, try everything because you never know what you could be good at!
