Grr its not coming YET?!
Ok,well i haven't my period yet [[and im 13..]] My mom got it when she was 13,my sister got it when she was 14. Does this run in the family that i'll get it either this year or when im 14? or would i be different? i really just want to get it over with instead of being afraid it'll happen when im in school or somewhere everyone can see it !!

Just because your mom and sister got it at 13 & 14 doesn't mean you will. You could get it in highschool.

you'll evantually get it. its most likely that you will get it about the same age as your mom did. uusually before i get mine, my stomach starts to really hurt and i get pretty bitchey haha, so that could happen to you.make a pact with ur friends: have them tell you if all of the sudden it comes. and be sure to carry around a tampon in your bag or something. <33

Yes, it usually will come around the same time that your relatives got theirs. You should expect to get it any time now, but of course if could be awhile. It's not always the same as your mom's or sister's. And just be happy that you don't have to deal with it yet, trust me it's a pain!

Every girl starts their period at a different time. So don't worry if other people got it sooner than you. When your body is ready,your period will come. And to be honest..it's nothing to look forward to lol.

There is no relation to when your mom gets her period and you do. My mom first got her's at over 15, I got mine at 12. So that just goes to show you that there is no relation. But there are "coinsidences" that the mother and daughter get their periods at the same age.

That is always a fear but it usually doesn't happen that way. If it worries you just carry a pad in your purse when you go back to school just in case & to ease your mind.
All girls are different. Most likely you will start in the next year or so. If you don't though don't worry about it. First one won't be heavy as a rule and you will do fine. :)

To me it dosent realy matter when your mom and sister had it.It could happen any time.It depends when your body is ready.And just carry pads or tampons around you at school.It could happen any time so dont be in such a rush.

usualy it happens around the time people in your family get it but not always. like i got mine when i was your age and my mom was 16 when she had hers. it depends on your dads side of the family too. there is no real way to plan when it happens chances are the first time u have it it will be just spotting and so light you may not even really notice it.. dont worry

It doesnt run in the family as least I dont think. Anyone can get their period any time and basiclly any age while you are still a teenager. 13-15 is the age where you probablly will get it. Its most likely. You will never be able to get period over with. I mean you will have to deal with it for a really long time. But thank god its 1ne a month! You will be able to sort of predic when you are going to get it. You will be getting discharge,sometimes cramps things like that. Wear those really light pads just for your good. I mean they are small && you can't feel its like a pad. <3

i honestly dont think it is something that runs in the family. just relax, and dont worry about it. and when you get it the first time, it wont be that much, so if it does happen in school, it shouldnt be noticeable, esspecially if you catch it early. just always carry a tampon/pad(i'd say start with a pad first) with you in your bag for school.

no one can know exactly when or where there going to have there period. i mean...you could be 15 when you get your period or you could have it next month. you never know so i cant help you there. but what i can tell you is always carry a pad in your purse or your backpack or where ever you want. and if you dont have any pads when you start then wad up a whole bunch of toilet papper and use that...hey its better than nothing right? well, i hope the stuff i could tell you helps and feel free to ask me anything else.

my advice to you is calm down relax everything will be ok..your body is different from your moms and your sisters and if you are scared that you might be some place and you get your period then carry a tampon or a pad with you when you some place. hope this helps you out.

Just because your mom and sister started their period at a certain age, it doesn't always mean that you'll get it at that age also. It doesn't run in the family. You could get it in a few months or even in a year or two but no one knows for sure. Every girl is develops differently than others. If you think you're going to get it during school, just wear a panty liner and you'll be fine.
