-Yes, you can wear a regular pad over night.
-When you shower, it stops. Just remember to wash 'down there'.
-Experiment! Everyone's different. It all depends on your flow, heavy or light, and what's comfortable for you.

Yes, you can. But I do recommend using overnights. They are more absorbant.

Just shower like you normally would, and clean down there.

I use Stayfree Ultrathins overnights, because I have very heavy ones. But experiment! You may like different ones. But I do recommend buying the thin ones. They are more comfortable.

You shouldnt come down too much while you are in the shower so dont worry about that at all. You can wear a pad at night the long winged ones are the best way to go... they take good care of you preventing a lot of accidents. kotex works pretty good. Its good to work out when you are on your period it helps the pain and is just healthy. a saying says not to eat bananas while on your period because it makes you come down more... but i dont know. well, good luck with that :)

Here's some good things to remember while you're having your first period:

*Yes you can wear a pad overnight, just change once a day so you don't stink*
*When you shower, the blood on the floor will get diluted by the water and wash away*
*the best pad brand is "Always Maxi." They're superthick in case you have a heavy flow and it's fairly confortable to wear*
*Wait awhile to wear tampons. Tampons are too much to take in at first, it's easy to forget to take them out, you could get toxic shock syndrome if they're left in too long and you'll pop your cherry (aka hymen)*
*Don't eat cold stuff like Ice Cream because it will give you cramps*
*If you get cramps, boil some water and brown sugar or ginger together and drink it. It will go away in about half an hour or so. Chinese remedy that my mom taught me.*
*When the flow gets light or turns brown, it means your period is winding down*
*there are days when you don't bleed at all. But always keep on a pad at least two days after you THINK your period is over because it could come back and you'll be embarassed because it'll stain your clothes*

Hope I helped

Hey first of Congrats...
and you can wear regular for overnight if you just started... since periods last for about a week (but its all different for all people and it may last little longer or little shorter)

so you can wear regular on the first day or 2
and on the 3rd-5th day you should wear special
one made for overnight and last couple of days
you may go back to regular but it all depends on
amount of your period...(er blood)

and if you are using Tampon do NOT i repeat DONOT
leave a tampon for more than 2 hours...
especially do not use it when you are sleeping
you may get TSS (its a diesease that you can get from leaving tampon for long time)

and also, you might want to wear a darker color
pants and yes you can take shower with out getting blood all over...

and i love those always ultra thin pads
like they say, they are thin and works good

so i hope i helped and let me know if there are more question you want to know~

ok well when you take a shower, you don't get blood all over..i thought you would too but i've had it for a couple of years, it doesnt like pour out of your body so don't worry. um after you get used to having your period totally switch to tampons they are so much eisier to use, and you dont even feel them..some good brands for pads are kotex...and good tampon brands are playtex. wear the thinner pads during the day because you can change them and its more comfortable. wear thicker ones at night because thats when your flow is usually heavier and you move around alot in your sleep, so get like longer ones they are uncomfortable but u have to face it. use tampons they are soo much more comfortable. oh and when you use tampons dont keep them in long because you could get tss and you could die from it. but its only if you like sleep with them im or keep them in for more than 4 hours. so i hope i helped if you need anymore help you can drop one in my inbox. hope i helped* <3 michelle

Okay,I would wear a regular pad overnight, because with a tampon you can only wear it for 8 hours at a time. When you take a shower, your period will just drip downward like it does when you wear a pad or a tampon. It won't get in your way in the shower. I don't use tampons, so I can tell you that Always works best for me. They have long, short, and overnight pads. If you need anymore help, just IM or email me. Hope this helped.

Ok first off, congrats on making it to the ranks of womanhood.

Yes you can wear a regular pad overnight.

When you shower, any blood will go down the drain. Just make sure to gently wash the area to keep from it getting irritated or sticky. Rinsing the shower after you're done will remove any blood that didn't go down the drain.

There's no one pad that fits all women. The best thing for you to do is buy a small box of one kind this time and see if you like it. If you don't, try a different kind next time. If you're worried about the blood leaking onto the edges of your panties, pads with wings would be best. If you're worried about odor, a deodorant pad will work.

Depending on how heavy you're bleeding, you can decide which pad would be best for you. If you're not bleeding very much or just spotting, a light-days pad will be best. If you're bleeding a bit more but not really pouring, a regular pad will do. Likewise if your flow is real heavy, a super will be best.

If you're hurting a lot, are moody, are cramping a lot, and just generally feeling PMSy, try taking some Midol. It will help. If you're just hurting some without the other stuff, Tylenol will work. There are also some air-activated heating pads (Playtex makes one kind) that you can apply to your back or stomach if they're hurting. I can tell you from experience they work great.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Yes, you can wear a pad overnight. Personally, I think tampons are better to use any time because you'll come to find out that pads..no matter what size..feel like a diaper and make you self conscious as to whether people can see it through your clothes or not. I don't know about other people but when I'm not my period I usually don't bleed in the shower..if you do, don't worry the water will wash it away..
Try the pads with the anti-leak core in them.
