Get some games to play, coloring books, watch movies, take him/her for a walk outside, or depending on the sex, play with trucks, dolls, etc. Puzzles are good too, as well as blocks. That will entertain a 2 year old for hours.
KillingFrost answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 2:11 am: just get on the floor and play with them... I've got a two year old brother and he loves having somone to push toy cars around with or someone to build towers with blocks that can be knocked over...its easy honest! HeathaAa answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 2:04 am: the 2 year old will keep you busy him/herself! they will be running around, just pulling out random toys. they might ask you to follow them around, play certain "games" with them. my friend has a 2 year old sister & we never have to entertain her.. she entertains herself! Teza answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 1:58 am: Since the kid is just 2 years old just give it toys to play with. The baby wont be running around the house just keep it busy and you both could watch TV or something. You have to talk to them because they like a lot of attention. But you'll be fine. mind you, Matt is now 3, but he had been 2 for a whole year and everything!
He enjoyed hot wheels cars, duplo/legos, kitchen set - plastic food rules, stuff animals, etc... standard little kid fare, but with less vocabulary.
