He cheated ... now what?

Question Posted Monday June 27 2005, 1:18 pm

This is gonna be long but I need help..

So me and my boyfriend were totally in love.. But then he cheated on me with another girl, he made out with her for like an hour. AND he was the one that came onto her. I broke up with him, and was totally heartbroken because I still love him... So then I saw him, and he apoligized, saying, "I`m so sorry, You are perfect, I only want you, that kiss from her meant nothing, I love you so much and I`m so sorry.." And so now I`m going back out with him.. But the thing is, I`m not sure. I still love him, but I can`t trust him.. And things are just kind of awkward now. I have no idea what to do.. Please help, I rate high !!

Well I know you dont want to do this but its better if your apart. If he loved youso much why did he cheat? love isnt a triangle! and and hour kiss doesnt mean anything to him because he doesnt love her but he wanted something! So Ithink its best your apart.Once a cheater always a cheater.I.H.I.H

this exact thing happened to my friend but my friend kissed the other person and eventually her boyfriend broke up with her b/c after that he said he couldnt trust her and she was too flirtatious you just have to talk to him and tell him your feelings and dont leave him out of what ur thinking (which is what happened to my friend) and you have to take it step by step from there if you cant trust him mayb you guys should just be friends or something like that

i think every guy deserves another chance and if you truely love him then you should giv ehim another chance. he's only human and he makes mistakes.. dont hold that against him. put him on "probation" and then one mess up and he is so0o0o gone he wont know what happend!!! earn his trust back, try to work on it. tell him nicely and not with an attitude that you dont have any trust in him and he will have to earn it back now and fast. lay down the law and show him who is boss. but dont be a bitch, thats how you'll loose him again, just be nice about it but not weak, strong but not a bitch.

ok well if he did it once..what makes you think he wont do it again. He completely crushed the trust between you too and you should let him off that easy. Oh and by the way.. if the kiss meant nothing, why'd did he keep doing for "LIKE AN HOUR"???

in any relationshit without trust you have NOTHING. he did the worst thing you can do to someone he cheated if you just let him get away with it no matter how much you love him then he will do it again you are better then that and derserve bettter so tell him that you can't trust him anymore and its not going to work cause thats is not fair to you you dont deserve to be treated that way sure you will be broken hearted for a while so just sit down with ice cream and corney movies and let it all out dont keep it inside just cry belive me it will help and after all that you will see that you made the right desition.
hope i helped

He's using you, most likely. Image, ego, sexual interaction, feeling good... whatever his reason, he's using you.

You can't go come on to someone, make out with them, have that as your only explaination, and mean it. There are times when given certain explainations it would be iffy, at best, but if you two had established that you were in a committed relationship, then yeh. You shouldn't bother with him. At least not until he gets his act together and can give you a reason of substance.

OK, i don't think that after such a low blow you should even want to be with him b/c if he really did love you he wouldn't have done it. ALL relationships are built on trust, without it ur nothing so.... i suggest break up and find a man who won;t cheat on you. :)

Wow.. YOU may 'love' HIM...
but HE CERTAINLY DOESN'T 'love' YOU...
..he made that apaRent..

It is MY opinion that since you have made the choice to take him back, you have only showed him that you accept and appRove of his infedility. Now, I'm PRETTIE DAMN positive that you do *NOT* want to give him that foldeRol impRession, yes??? And whateveR you do, please, please, please don't believe the line, "I've changed" - Riiiiight, that's what ALLLLLLLLLLL the guys on MauRy say, isn't it?? And look what happens THERE!! If you take him back this time, he'll think he can Run off and peRfoRm whateveR infantile behavioRs he so chooses, because he'll HAVE REASON to assume that you'll ALWAYS be theRe with open aRms. Bottom line, it's simply unfaiR to youRself... don't even botheR with it. I say the best thing foR you to do, though tRagic, is to gatheR up the pieces of youR bRoken heaRt and push foRwaRd, leaving him in the past... waayyyy back in the past. Love is RecipRocal, Kiddo -- meaning, it's NOT just one-sided, so if a peRson has taken an inteRest in TWO INDIVIDUALS... they simply DO NOT feel ENOUGH for EITHER ONE!! Think of it this way: what's the point in giving youR heaRt away to someone who isn't willing to give you theiRs? Don't waste anymoRe of youR time, teaRs oR effoRt on this CLOWN. Just use youR head, and think of youR *own* well being heRe! I wish you the best of luck - hopefully this gets you thinking. I wish the best to you! ♥
