I'm babysitting 2 kids every Tuesday. One of them is 7 (Girl), and the other is 4(boy). Do you have any ideas on what we could do? Or any ideas on how to make dinnertime more fun? Like, what could I make?

Maybe give some free advice about: Babysitting?
Yes. Play with them. Color with crayons, on the walls too! But if you color on the walls, be sure to clean it off before the parents come home. Take naps. That's my favorite. Help the kids make up stories about the toad who got stepped on by a Shire horse. I think he was squished.

o ok well i also babysitt and what i do is make make and cheese but put food coloring in the noddole and water and it turns them differentcolors its so fun and then for desert we make ants on a log which is little prezel stick and one side is coated with peanut butter (creamier the better)and then put chocolate chips on it it was a big hit for the little girl i babysitt hope i helped *Kelley*

I babysit 4 kids all day everyday so i feel your pain. When the kids were younger i would make a fake 'menu' and tell them the specials and serve it like it was a real restaurant ect. Also kids of that age love repitition and directions. Let me explain lol. Movies are good, esp. disney movies and also games like Mother May I, and Simon Says. Hide and Go seek is a classic. Also the zoo is an option. The park works wonders.Slip'n'slides and the sprinkler never get old. Hope i helped!

Any sandwich that calls for ketchup needs a ketchup smiley put on it. Kids seem to love that for some reason.
You can start a story and have them add a few lines or finish it for you. They come up with some pretty hysterical things now and then!
Most that age just like to play. Let them have races and stuff where you have to say ready set go. The 7 yo will win every time but, the great thing about being 4 is you don't care!
I always have my grandkids count french fries, chips whatever. Then see how many they have left if they "take away" a couple. Eat and learn!
I know its only a couple of suggestions, but maybe it will get the wheels turning in your head a little. Be creative! :)

yea!!
i babysitt kids aroundthose ages all the time , maybe if they like arts & crafts then you guys can color , but i sugest not playing beads or anything because there still kind of little well not the girl but the boy you dont want to have to take anyone to the hospitl because a bead went up his nose ! well you and the little girl (and boy) could play barbies or dolls or you guys could paint ! or watch a movie likeshark tail or something little kids like .

Well, on stuff to do: Board Games are always fun (CandyLand, Chutes and Ladders,Hi-Ho Cherry-0) and for dinner Pizza is usually easy!, or grilled sandwiches and u can cut them in different shapes! And now they make chicken nuggets that are shaped like stars and other shapes! And normally kids will eat well if they are rewarded with a popsicle or ice cream or cookie, or brownie or something like that after dinner!..Hope that i helped...Brittney!

The best thing to do is ask them what they want to do. Also, since the girl is older, she will probably have some ideas of things that her little brother would like to do. Um, the little kids that i sit for like puppet shows, and playing store. For dinner, you can let them help cook. If you make macaroni or something, let the little one sit on the counter and watch and the older one help you find the ingrediants and pour them. hope i helped!

Hey...i used to have the same problem not knowin what to do with the kids i babysat...For dinner time you can always make a suggestion box on what they want and you can let them help you make it...for the activities, you can always play dress up with the girl or if she isnt into being a doll then you can always watch their favorite movie...for the little boy, most of them like bugs, so you can go outside and try and find little bugs and make up names for them...i hope i helped

you could make this oreo shake thing..its really easy to make.
all you need is a blender.
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of vanilla ice cream
4 oreos
first blend ice cream and milk then add oreos and mix those in..
hope it works out
