Ever since I started shaving I've always gotten pimples on my legs and thighs. It's really annoying because I don't get any on my face just my legs! What should I do? And why is this happening?
AlittleBitNaughty4u answered Thursday May 12 2005, 8:03 pm: I get that sometimes too... you should just change the razor and the cream. also your skin might be sensitive. Also your skin might be getting irrated by you shaving probaly so much so just shave like every 2-3 days. [ AlittleBitNaughty4u's advice column | Ask AlittleBitNaughty4u A Question ]
Ashley1 answered Thursday May 12 2005, 4:34 pm: I bet it might be razor burn or ingrown hairs.
Start using a new razor and new shaving cream. Make sure to shave down. Start putting lotion on your legs after you shave. [ Ashley1's advice column | Ask Ashley1 A Question ]
cokecap_x21 answered Thursday May 12 2005, 3:45 pm: Its razor burns. I know, ugly red "pimples", you HAVE to use shaving cream [[i use EDGE,its not fragrented so it works]],also after you gets out of the shower put non fragrented lotion on. i think a lot of people said this already. By the way - make sure your legs arent dry. They might take a day to go away though. [ cokecap_x21's advice column | Ask cokecap_x21 A Question ]
mrs_radcliffe answered Thursday May 12 2005, 1:55 pm: They will be razor burns. Just make sure you use lots of shaving foam/ soap. Its best to shave in warm water.
Karen answered Thursday May 12 2005, 7:18 am: Those aren't your regular zits/pimples; they are ingrown hairs. You get them if you shave in the wrong direction or your hairs just grow in wrong. Try using a good razor and shaving cream and when you're done shaving, put some lotion on and that will help. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Stephagy answered Thursday May 12 2005, 1:06 am: There probably razor burns. Um... What I would recommened not as a doctor because I'm only 14 is that you use AVEENO SHAVING CREAM with like anti-itch or moisterizing or my doctor recomended um cetiphel I think. Anyway I really suggest you use a shaving cream with moisterizer or anti-itch. Ok
twynelyne answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 10:30 pm: Its more razor burn than pimples, but there are a few things you could do. First of all, it all depends on the kind of blade your using, one idea may to be to change to a kind that is gentler on your legs, another may to try different shaving creams and lotions after you shave. I used to have that problem and found that it was because I am allergic to shaving cream! So now I use shower gel and just shave carelly and everythings fine. GL! JazzY answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 10:07 pm: They aren't pimples. Even though they look like them. It's no big deal or anything, you probably need more shaving cream when you shave or you need to put on some lotion when you dry off. It will get better. I promise! :) Hope I helped.

aSkMe1o1 answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 10:02 pm: This used to happen to me too. They really aren't pimples though, it is razor burn. Use more shaving cream or soap when you do shave. As soon as you dry off or before you go to bed put cream on your legs to smooth out your skin.
not_your_star34 answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 9:57 pm: They're not pimples; they're ingrown hairs. Don't pick at them! They occur when the hair curls and goes into the skin, which irritates it. Don't worry, it's common and it's not serious.
xoxoPrettyNPinkxoxo answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 9:57 pm: Hey! If you get little red pimple-like bumps on your legs right after you shave...I think taht these are razor burn not pimples. You can get rid of them by shaving with a mild soap or shaving gel. Also make sure that you are using a new sharp blade on ur razor. If it's a dull blade then you get razor burn more often.
cutiepie2005 answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 9:52 pm: That is exactly what happened to me! i went to the dermantologist and she said i was shaving against my hair! she told me to shave going down my leg instead of up! hope i helped! [ cutiepie2005's advice column | Ask cutiepie2005 A Question ]
