Always wash your hands with a mild soap and dry with a lint-free towel before handling your lenses.

Clean, rinse and disinfect your lenses each time you remove them.

Always handle the same lens first to avoid mixing up the right and left lenses.

Remember to handle your lenses gently.

i got this info from a site when searching google. here it is:

When you first get contacts, it takes about a week for your eyes to adjust to having something put IN them. In the beginning, you may find it hard to keep your eye open, but just follow the eye doctors instructions. Its a little scary at first, but its worth it in the long run!

Dont wet them with water because they get messed. Put them on the tip if your finger and then you can drop a little drop of the cleanser into the contact. If it irritates you give it like 5mins and if nothing changed take it out and put it in the other way. Good luck!

Don't lose them. Don't sleep with them. And don't poke your eyes.

How well your eyes deal with the contacts...depends on you. All people are different, and so are their eyes. For example, my cousin is unable to wear contact lenses...something about the shape of his eye...O.o I, on the other hand, have never had problems with mine.

I was freaked out about sticking something in my eye when I first got mine too. But you'll get over it. I normally hold my eyelid with one finger and just stick the contact in there. Once it's in, you can help it get comfortable and really stick by rolling your eye around. Look up, down, right, left.

When I went to the eye doctor, after I got my lenses, his assistant sat me down in front of a mirror and gave me several tips. Then she sat there and watched me put in my contacts for the first time...just to make sure I was comfortable with it and able to do it. When you go to your eye doctor, you might want to bring that up. I'm sure he could snag someone for a minute, just to help you.

When you put them on it's easier to look down or sideways so you won't poke your eyes.

hey im 13 and i hav contacts. they are soo much fun. ok well first of all make sure that they are really clean. even a spec of dirt can make your eye feel like its on fire ((im soo serius)). also make sure that if you try to put it in and u cant get it in after like 3 tries..you clean it again. if your contact wont stick in your eye, then you might need to try and put contact wettening stuff in your eye then try again. once you get used to it though..its easy. and make sure when you put your contacts in they are NOT inside out. that screws them up
hope i help
xoxo

If anything gets under them, even a tiny spec of dirt, it could possibly drill a hole in your eye making you blind. Im very seriouse about this too. Be careful.

its not that bad and after you have them in, you don't even feel them. when you are putting them in, make sure there is no dirt or anything on them and dont move your eye around when you are putting them in...taking them out, you just put you rfingers in the pinching position and get them out...when you go to the eye doctor to get them, they will show you haw to do everything and make sure you know how to do it...

I have had contacts since I was 13, (I'm 14), and it HIGHLY depends on the kind you get. I have high estigmatism (spelling?) and I needed hard, gas permeable ones that need cleaning and storing every day. For these, you should wear them little by little every day, increase the numbers of hours slowly. For the first few weeks, carry eye drops with you in case you feel your eyes are getting dry or there is something in them.

For putting them in: take the contact on your finger and with your other hand, pull down your bottom lid a little bit. Slowly, fit the contact right on the pupil, where you feel the center is. It takes practice, but you'll get so used to it, it will be second nature soon. I promise.

A few tips: Saliva has enzymes in it, so if you don't have eyedrops or cleanser nearby, and something gets in your eye, pop it out and swish it around your mouth a bit. (Only in desperate situations, and make sure your mouth is clean.)

Contacts are more responsibility but definetely better than glasses, well for me at least. Hope I helped.

don't worry about them. i got contacts in 4th grade. They don't hurt at all. Just put solution on the contact, put it on ur index finger, hold you eye open with one hand, and then put the contact in. don't blink for a few sec. so you can make sure its on your eye. its really easy, and once you get the hang of it ... you probably won't even hafta do all that. you'll love them...trust me. Hope i Helped! Love Always, Anna <33
