MySpace.
Oh dear.
Basically its a networking site. You build a network by adding your friends who have profiles. You can upload pictures and leave comments, make invitations and sedn messages, write calenders and to dolists and discovernew music.
Although MySpace is intended to be a place for friends, it has turned into the stereotypical place for vain kids to post the billion pictures they take of themselves and write out every single band they like just to be cool.
But really, its all what you make of it. You dont have to be like the stereotype. There are many ways to engineer your page so that it fits you. And really, it is a great tool to talk with friends you never see anymore. Youd be surprised how well people connect through it.
Well, good luck. One word of advice, its addictive.

Something really bad happened to me when I was a senior in highschool with a guy. I thought that I had put it behind me and had moved on, but the thing is my tenth year reunion is coming up next summer and I'm terrified of running into him again.
I still get nightmares of what happened. Well he was really popular and I was a nerd. He found out I liked him and basically made sure I would be either humiliated or uncomfortable around him. He never once talked to me but he would wait for me to walk down the hall and then make out with his beautiful and popular girlfriend just to see my reaction. He would laugh whenever he caught me blushing, and would come right up to one of his friends whose locker was next to mine just to see me skirm. At my prom he walked right up to my best friend and hit on her and ignored me. He also treated me like this my first year of university because his girlfriend went to the same school as me. The last time I saw him was at the bar when I was 19. I walked up to him to tell him it was my birthday and he just ignored me and walked away.
Well the reunion is coming up and if he's going to be there I know I'm not going to have a good time, it will just drag up all these memories. The worst part is that I never told any of my highschool friends about this because they all liked him and thought he was a great guy, and I didnt want it to get out. It would just make me look bad and he would deny it anyways.
How should I act at the reuinion if he is there? (link)

Were you able to keep your old friends and make brand new, more loyal ones in high school? To put it bluntly, it seems like everyone is dumb and immature in the eighth grade and I just want some sort of reason to tell myself that it'll all be okay in the end.

Yes, there is always hope.
I just started ninth grade this year, and I can defintely tell you that although high school is by far not the most important phase in life, it defines a lot about you, and you are guaranteed to find your niche with people you really connect with if you are true to yourself. Most people do, I know I did. So just avoid those crowds that have "rules" and all look the same, and you'll be fine.
I had the same complex as you last year because I was with people I had been with for 9 years that had already made fixed judgements about me. One of the best things to do is to get out and MEET NEW PEOPLE. Whether it be through MySpace or other friends..whatever. That will indeed keep your mind off those immature kids in your class.

15/f Try n make this quick:
Last year this guy Rich and I were friends and he likes me but i had a boyfriend. And he openly said how mad he was and that he liked me (jokingly he wasn't like ARRRG mad) and well i saw him once over the summer n it was awesome. but he switched school so i never saw/talked to him. now he's back and im single. problem is he wears eyeliner im kewl with that but a lot of my friends will bitch about that but w/e. but he also smokes pot n cigs. like i dont care n i will never its just it makes me unhappy he does that. but like now i make sure i see him and like he is always like Give me a hug! like old times. and i really think i like him. but my mom said i couldnt date him. should i just like "date" him at school and ease my mom into it, or stay friends with this guy? how can i see if he likes me too w/o saying yo dude ya like me still? ... sorry that wasn't very quick :( thanks so much to people who answer it though! This is an opportunity you just can't pass up. Is he in any of your classes? If not, MAKE an excuse to talk to him. Listen to music or ask him about his favorite music. Talk about his hair, complement him if you have to. But to start small, just SMILE. It ALWAYS makes people feel more comfortable.

Over the past year I have felt some changes. I notice that I wasn't interested in guys anymore. And after talking to my family and shrink about it, we came to the conclusion.. I'm a lesbian. After admitting this very tough situation to my friends, I sort of lost them. It seems they don't want to be friends b/c they are afraid of the situation, and they don't want to be friends with me. I thought admitting this to my friends was the right thing to do. What should I do.

Remember that everyone in their younger years has identity crises, so it may just be a phase, if it isn't, go find new friends. Friends who don't tolerate people of diverse qualities aren't worth keeping, and it may be hard, but it shows that you are strong when you can admit truths to yourself and be comfortable with them. I say meet new people, go into the dating scene and all, and you'll find new friends who accept you for who you are! Good luck.

Clear the history, and make it so that it doesn't record anything. Also, delete temporary internet files and cookies while youre at it, just to be safe. This is all in Tools>Internet Options.

okay, well i have a black dad and a white mom.. well i dont have white hair and i dont have black hair either.. but its frizzy. it looks REALLY pretty when its straightened, but when you dont put special stuff on it, it looks bad.. anyway, is there any special straightening stuff that you guys know of to put on my hair? I have extremely frizzy hair too, and I use John Freida Extra Strength De-Frizz Conditioner, Serum, and some moisturizing spray afterwards. I don't use the whole line of stuff, so maybe you want to check that out because the stuff I have tried worked pretty well for me.

I have a T-Shirt empresario..so I can tell you a few things.
First, get good paper. Avery is a good brand for instance. NEVER use the kind at Best Buy, those rip and bubble and look AWEFUL.
Okay, then to flip the design on the computer, you can go to a simple program like paint and go to Image-Flip image-flip horizontal. That will give you the mirror image you want. Remember though, this should only be done if you're transferring onto a white shirt. If you want a dark colored shirt with a design, you need paper that doesn't have to have the flipped design on it.

If you like goth music, you can be called goth.
Punk-Ramones, Dead Kennedys, DOA, Sex Pistols, etc.
Goth-NIN, Skinny Puppy, Cradle, Carcass..etc.
But in all, labels are dumb and should be burned.

Ok, i am in 8th grade and i am a 13 year opld female (just so oyu know the setting) well anyways my problem is that i have never ever ever in my life had a boyfriend. i know you might be sayi wow big deal, but it is. like almost everyone i know has had/haves 1. i feel weid when people go, oh who is you b/f, or who have you gone out with. idk whatto do. i hate feeling this way, is it wrong that i have never had a b/f, nad what can i do to make me feel better bout my self (qith out actually getting a b/f, cuz dont see that happeneing in the near future.

Well, I just recently attained my first boyfriend, and I know exactly how you feel. The answer is, just get out and meet people. Go to local bands' shows or to hangout spots. Get a MySpace or LiveJournal and meet your friends' friends that way. Trust me, you'll meet a lot of guys that way and you're bound to find one that you get along with really well. It happened to me and I'm really happy.
About the confidence part, I have the same thing. I thought getting a boyfriend would help me feel complete and shit, but it didn't. I love him very much and all but the truth of the matter is that it's something inside of you that only you can change. When I figure it out for myself I'll let you know how to do it..:/
