SWANKiFiED answered Friday June 10 2005, 9:48 am: Well nothing will techincally straighten your hair just by putting it in but there are however some relaxers that will make it straight for a while so you won't have to put anything in it for a few months. Let me give you the categories.
Cheap Relaxer ($5)
Will straighten your hair but it all depends on what kind of hair you have. It can be really dangerous or really weak. Consult someone you know or a sales person about this.
At-Home Straightening System ($30)
Not as powerful as the others but will de-frizz your hair. Easy to do at home & available at places like Walgreens.
In-Salon Straightening System ($200)
A stronger version of the "at-home" one. It works well but you need professionals to do it. To get a complete dead straight look, you'll have to flat iron it still but it'll be way easier.
Yuko, Ionic, etc. (up to $1,500)
These work a miracle on your hair. They'll completely transform it into shiny, straight hair. They cost alot depending on hair length. This is something you might wanna save up for unless you've got alot of cash.

You could try using the new shampoo and conditioner from him that will help defrizz your hair. Or you can use a straightening serum that will defrizz your hair also which is 'Wind-Down'. Paul Mitchell also has a few products that could help. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
rainbowsend answered Thursday June 9 2005, 11:50 pm: Have you considered having your hair relaxed? It's like a perm- except instead of making straight hair curly, it makes curly hair straight. Probably would work well for you. If you're interested, ask your hairdresser about it next time you go in for a haircut.
iSLAND_iNTHE_SUNx0 answered Thursday June 9 2005, 11:30 pm: There are different types of "straightening balm" out there that you can try (I don't have any brands at the top of my head). Try that, and then also straighten it and see how it comes out.

DistilledAnachronism answered Thursday June 9 2005, 11:03 pm: I have extremely frizzy hair too, and I use John Freida Extra Strength De-Frizz Conditioner, Serum, and some moisturizing spray afterwards. I don't use the whole line of stuff, so maybe you want to check that out because the stuff I have tried worked pretty well for me.
Hope I helped. [ DistilledAnachronism's advice column | Ask DistilledAnachronism A Question ]
