im a very good catholic. i really feel bad if i do so much as say oh my god. anyway. i have been sort of mastribating lately. when i get horny sometimes i use a fake penis to 'have sex'. is this sinning because i wanna know if i should stop doing this. please please please help

It's not a sin at all. Saying "oh my God" isn't a sin either, but let's address the masturbation question. You shouldn't live so strictly and repress how you feel, or else it will become all bottled up inside of you and when you release it it will have negative consequences. Don't let the Church warp your mind into thinking that everything you do has to be bad, it is human nature to do things, as it says in the Catholic religion. You can stop if you wish, but masturbation is very normal and very healthy. Having an orgasm gives you more energy (always good), and it helps to relieve stress! It's also good to know your own body before you touch someone else's body, that way you are not too shocked. Besides, you can't get pregnant using a fake penis--how sweet is that?! Try to be less strict with yourself. As long as you are as good as you can be to other people, you can be faithful to both yourself and God. You can't love God unless you love yourself, and masturbation is a beautiful and natural expression of self love!

well im catholic and honestly dont know the exact rules on it but its not technically sex. all i know is that catholics do it anyways...some lil 6th graders at a catholic school were caught jacking off in the bathroom (like AT school!) no ones ever said anything about it...they just say sex is to be saved for marriage. so dont worry about it, but you can pray to God to help you do the right thing. take care. <3

umm.... im catholic to and im not really sure if its a sin or not.. but we aren't supposed 2 have sex before marriage so... ya. if i were in your position then i would pray and ask God for help. im not a really really good catholic but i know that if it feels wrong then you should stop and think about what you are doing! i Hope it helps.

In the bible is says that it is a sin, but we have to take to consideration that the bible has been writen 2000 years ago, I honestly beleive god will understand the need to pleasure yourself. I'm greek orthodox so I know they will say that masterbating is the devils work. But you know what now a days there is so much going on, and so much has changed that. First thing I did when I read this, was laugh my f*cking ass off. First off, you're NOT having sex. Second, yes, it's a sin. No, I'm not catholic, but friends told me it is.

Sexuality is deemed a part of the human experience and some people like to try to use religion to hinder it instead of embrace it. You're not sinning.
