I'm not going to prom b/c i have an AP physics final test two days later and i don't want to get distracted. But, my friends are mad at me b/c they are seniors and its our last year to go to a dance as a big group-their being mean "subtley"-like they'll slip in some mean things-wat do i do? and how do i not feel so miserable?
karenR answered Monday May 2 2005, 2:55 pm: Whats making you miserable their remarks or not going to prom? If it's just the remarks then ignore them. It is just a dance.
If its not going to the dance then I agree with hitler, just go for a few hours and then get home and study the next day. No big deal. Don't get left out if its something you really want to do because there won't be another one. You'll all be gone your seperate ways next year. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

If you have a finaly two days later then you will still have time to prepare and study for it one night of fun isn't going to hurt you. However if you really feel strongly about not going then just talk to your friends. Explain to them why you're not going and tell them that you've noticed that they have been being mean and that it has been making you miserable. They should stop if they realize that they are really hurting you.

If you are really into getting a good grade on the test, then make sure you buckle down and get down to work when prom is over!! You want to get a good grade...but you are missing out on alot of fun!!!

sadf16 answered Sunday May 1 2005, 12:31 am: Ask yourself. Which do you prefer? Going to the prom or having good grades in the test? But if you have already studied and you're sure that you understood most of it already then why not go there? But if you have not yet understood much then maybe you shouldn't go if the time is lacking for you to study. [ sadf16's advice column | Ask sadf16 A Question ]
