rainbowcherrie answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 1:31 pm: Whenever they want to. Most girls like to wait a few months after they start their period before using them but it's completely up to you. You might feel uncomfortable with using them, don't feel pressured to, it's your choice. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]

There's no perfect time to start using them because they are for all ages. So whenever they are ready they should start! =]

S_C answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 6:17 am: You can wear them anytime from when you start until years afterwords. I probably won't start wearing them until this summer so I can go swimming and stuff mainly because you have to change them every few hours, unlike pads which can last the whole day (if you're flow isn't that heavy) I haven't tried them yet, but in the next month or so I probably will. So girls can where them whenever they want. It doesn't matter. Anytime after you've gotten your "special friend" go ahead and try them [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
Daisy answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 5:38 am: There isn't a certain time or age you should start to wear them-it's just whenever you feel like you want to. Buy a packet and try then out for a bit-if you feel comfortable then carry on wearing them and if not then wait till you do.
Good luck! [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]
redxroses answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 11:10 pm: When they feel like they want to. There is no certain time. Some girls go straight to tampons when they first get their periods, while other girls just wear pads or go from pads to tampons. [ redxroses's advice column | Ask redxroses A Question ]

Foxsea17 answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 9:38 pm: Girls can start to wear tampons as soon as they start their period, but most girls find them painful or uncomfortable when wearing them for the first time: I know I did! I didn't really start wearing tampons till I was 16 because I found them extremely uncomfortable. A lot of my friends felt the same way. Hope I could help! Karen answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 9:21 pm: Girls can start wearing tampons, after they start menstruating. Once you've had your period for a while, that's when you can start wearing tampons but that's not always true, since you can wear them whenever you have your period.
