They could just be growing pains. The best relief is to ask your doctor about this, not advicenators. Your doctor might prescribe a light pain medicine, but if they are just growing pains, they'll go away.

I get those alot too, and it's mostly because I don't take vitamins or anything like that...basically what it is is you have a little bit of a magnesium (or potassium) deficiency that is supposed to support you muscle and make it stronger. If you don't have the proper support for it, then many times your muscle can freak out and hurt like hell. The best way to prevent this is to eat a banana or two every once in a while, like everyone has been saying, or start taking vitamins containing some magnesium and other good stuff (or you can do both).

good luck,
FrostedEl.

I get those. Those are called Charley Horses. I don't know what they are caused by...actually a one of the reasons why they may be caused is due to lack of potassium. Make sure you eat a bannana every once in a while to keep them at bay, thats what I do, and it works. If you exercise alot, you may be more prone to get them. And if the pain persists, go to the doctor, they should know what to do.

its a charlie horse and it comes from lack of potassium. to prevent, eat bananas. if you get them during the night, stand up and put all your weight on the leg thats cramping until it goes away completely and dont move too fast after or it will come back. <3
