In english class we're doing a project and we have to read it outloud. Last time when i was reading something outloud evry1 lauged at me! (Darn my squeeky voice) Anyways, i dunt want 2 read mine outloud! What should i do??

aww im sorry. think of it this way: when people present stuff in my class, i'm always either completly zoned out and extremly bored i'm not paying attention, or i'm sleeping. so is 95% of the class, nobody cares so your basically just saying it to your teacher so dont worry about it

Well I think that you should be happy with the way you talk...its what makes you you so i would first suggest you just go up there and do it and dont worry about what other people think of you...but if you dont want to listen to that heres some other tips...try to talk to your teacher....tell him or her that you feel extremely uncomfortable talking in front of people which will make your project seem not as important or as well as it is...but i would also keep in mind that if you do that some kids might give you crap about not having to do your report in front of everyone and they might say its not fair. But if your teacher says you have to i would practice alot! try practicing in front of a mirror and in front of your family...also try toning your voice different...just remember your voice is what makes you unique and different...and that should make you feel good...dont let thoes other kids get to you!....hope i helped!

I used to hate getting up infront of the class and reading or presenting my work and stuff but I got over it. Its acually fun! Theres nothing wrong with you and dont let them laugh at you. Have fun with it! If they laugh at you then you laugh with them. You wont be scared. Maybe if you dont want to do that ask your teacher if she can read it out loud and just tell her how you feel. x0

give her the work and maybe she will read it for you..if she says no, then ask a friend too

you will just have to speak there isn't really a way around the situation. Ask if you can go first that way everyone will be so worried about doing their own report that they wont care about yours that way you can still get a good grade

i get embarassed bout my voice too hun.. i usually ask the teacher if after class can i read it to just them and they usually let me to it.. cause usually the oral part is a grade too..much luv dez x0x0

Can you tape it or do it as a video? If you have to read it out loud can you show pictures on a slide projector as then you will be in the dark!

Well, you have to read your project outloud-unless u want to fail- otherwise, if ure voice squeaks just clear your voice and pretend ure darn proud of it! It happens to all guys

Unfortunately, I feel your pain. But it seems as if you don't have to much of a choice, that is if you want a grade. I'd just humor it, if it happens again. Everyone gets embarrassed once in a while, and that's not the worst way to go.

Ask your teacher if you can record it on a tape recorder and if she/he will play it for the class so you don't have to present it yourself.

you have to or else the teacher might take off on your participation grade so just pretend your talking to yourself or someone you feel comfortable with

heyy .. i am also shy just like you and recently had to read something outloud but i didnt instead i told my teacher that i was uncomfortable reading it outloud and asked her if i could stay after school and privatly with just me and her read it to her she said yes so try that

It sounds like you don't really have a choice. Don't go to school that day. Or, tell the teacher you don't feel comfortable reading things outloud. Sorry.
