I have Crest toothpaste and it's not burning minty in my opinion. It's vanilla flavored. So I suggest you go to the store and pick out a new flavored toothpaste.

Um, I don't know, but they make toothpaste in other flavors than minty-burn, like orange and bubblegum, and I don't know what flavor Crest for kids is supposed to be, but it isn't minty.

my mom's dad used to use baking soda as toothpaste. i actually does work cuz my grandfather's teeth were amazingly white. LOL! the thing is, it tastes really nasty.
really all you have to do is, get your toothbrush and put it in the toothpaste, then start brushing your teeth.

Try mixing vinegar with the baking soda, WHILE the baking soda is in your mouth. That should help.

*ashlee* answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 7:51 pm:
baking soda only helps to whiten your teeth. so unless your ok with having a few cavities..but white teeth. then go for it. otherwise look around next time you go to the store. theres a lot of toothpastes that are made without the minty burn..just for people like you. also, baking soda isnt the greatest tasting thing..also a hint towards how your breath will smell once you use it. not good

ballerina04 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 7:41 pm:
Hmm.. Have you ever thought of trying a different flavored toothpaste though? Crest has a variety of different flavors, like vanilla mint, cinnamon, and citrus. The vanilla mint probably won't be as strong as normal mint toothpastes. Maybe try different flavors, and if it doesn't work, maybe you can talk to your dentist.
I'm not quite sure if baking soda works or not; I've never tried it. But try looking at this site -- [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

LiLJaZzY answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 7:15 pm:
put baking soda over a [small] amount of toothpaste, basically a line of toothpaste and baking soda tossed over that and brush
---------------------------------------------
to kill all the germs and get your teeth extra white, put some toothpaste on your toothbrush and then sprinkle some [[ SALT ]] on it (gross i know, but it really works!)

good luck! *HoPe i HelpEd*

Baking soda works to whiten your teeth not to prevent cavities and whatnot. It also tastes REALLY bad. If you don't like mintiness, they have vanilla, orange, and cinnamon flavored toothpastes! Hope I've helped.
