This may not sound serious but it is. I was having a nervous break down during math because of this.
I can not stand the phrase "I never knew that." It just drives me insane. Whenever I hear it I either cry or scream. I just hate the phrase. So my question is how can I get over this? I am asking this in all seriousness. My friend who has a column here (she's asking this since I can't get on) has even told me do get help for this.

glamnglitz answered Monday April 11 2005, 8:23 pm: Hey... well I can understand how hearing that might make you mad... like if you said something, and then a person says, "I never knew that," and they sounded all suprised and stuff. Lol.
Umm... I think that there probably is a phrase that makes me go crazy too, except I can't think of it at the moment. It just has to said at a time when I'm frustrated and it has to be said in in the right way, like in a annoying way or something. Lol.
Anyways, I think it's probably normal. Just try to calm down next time someone says that. [ glamnglitz's advice column | Ask glamnglitz A Question ]

MFS answered Monday April 11 2005, 6:13 pm: You know what? I never knew that.
No, really... I never did.
I mean, if I had known it, then I would not be able to say that, becuase it implies that this was knowledge that I have never had access to.
However, if I had known it and forgotten it, then I'd have to say, "I think I knew that, but forgot it."
Ain't language an amazing thing?
Also, if you are truly having a real, honest-to-god nervous breakdown over that phrase, then you really, REALLY need to seek professional help and not advice from a website. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
