You know... or a cute outfit... clothes always get a smile as a gift. Or, if you're completely out of ideas, a smiple card and cash/ giftcard to her fave store.
_eMiLy answered Thursday April 7 2005, 4:05 pm: Go shopping together and then go get manicures together and stuff, or you could organise a surprise party even though that's not very original.
Urm, you could buy her a necklaces with 'best sister' or 'little sister' or something like that on it.
Orrr like someone else suggested you could get her a car, if you can afford it obviously.

Lil-keaney answered Thursday April 7 2005, 2:51 pm: People now days by them "18-Keys" which are ment to 'lead' the adult into adulthood! That would be a great present for a 18 year old. Or maybe for a laugh and joke buy some naughty things to spice up there love life and have a giggle your self! [ Lil-keaney's advice column | Ask Lil-keaney A Question ]

BeautifulMadness answered Thursday April 7 2005, 11:06 am: I think you should get her some of her favourite chocolates or something else she would really like, and then something special of significant to her being eighteen. For example -
*A compilation CD, with her favourite song for each year of her life on it. So like, her favourite song when she was 1 (and if you don't want to put nursery rhymes on it, lol, or you don't know her fave song for that year, then put the popular song for that year for that track).
*If your parents aren't against you drinking, then a small bottle of something alcoholic (like a barcardi breezer or bailey's or something)
*Tickets for a wine tasting trip
*Pay for her to get a manicure/new hair do at your local hair salon (manicures are like...£20 for the most extravagant one. They usually start at about £8)
*Have a little party with the family (or just you two if you prefer) and do all her favourite things. Watch her favourite movies (turn your living room into a cinema) and then give her a makeover and dress her up or do her hair and go out for a meal as a family.
*A necklace with '18' or 'best sister' on it.
*Give her a certain amount of money (£10, £20, £30, whatever you can afford) and then take her on a shopping trip.
*Ring up all her friends and invite them to a party at a night club or bar without her knowing. Then do her make up, hair, clothes or whatever for her (if she likes that kinda thing) and take her to the club for a suprise party! You could also offer to pay for her first (legal, if she has already started drinking) drink or her drinks for the night (it will also help you to see how much she's drinking and make sure it doesn't get out of hand).
