Well for starters going to the doctors might be scary but it always helps in the end.
If you do have a thyroid problem you NEED to tell your mom, thyroids can really hurt you.
But this could be a low iron and high stress thats causing this.
Lovely. ]
Stress. I do believe my dearest, that when you're under stress, your hair falls out; you lose sleep; and you don't get the right amount of vitamins.
Get a hobby. It's hard to reduce stress, but you can do it. Go swimming, jump rope, rollerblade... Anything that makes you happy, and lets you focus on the outside world.
I highly doubt it's a thyroid problem. Since your mom has one, I'd watch out for later in life...

Sounds like you could also be anemic which is a lack of iron in your blood, or a lack of B-12. WE only get iron or b-12 from meat sources or seaweed products. How is your diet. If you don't eat any meat that may be the reason for your symptoms. Ask the doctor to please tell you what he thinks you may have based just on your symptoms. And tell him if you eat a poor diet.

i would go to the doctor.i dont want you to get offended but are you bulimic, you sound like you have the symptoms(sp)of it. please tell me more about what other conditions you have and put it in my inbox
here are some after effects of bulimia:
- Unusual swelling of the cheeks or jaw area
- Calluses on the back of the hands and knuckles (from self-induced vomiting)
- Discoloration, staining, or deterioration of tooth enamel (caused by stomach acid)
- Broken blood vessels in the eyes
- Brittle hair or nails; dry or sallow skin
- Stomach pain
- Weakness or fatigue
- Loss of menstrual cycle
- Swelling of the lower legs and feet, or loss of sensation in the hands or feet (from malnutrition or dehydration) ]
are you anorexic? because my friend is and she is like that...so if you are you should eat. and about being afraid of needles..when you go to the doctor just let them do it to you, wow because i swear it isnt bad at allllll. ]
Here are some things that can also cause irregular periods:
Significant weight gain or loss
Overexercise
Eating disorders
Increased stress
Polycystic ovarian syndrome/Estrogen dominance
Uterine abnormalities(fibroids/cysts/polyps/endometriosis)
Medications
Chemotherapy
I would go to your doctor, but if any of the above relates to you, it's probably why.
Hope I helped! ]
i'm sorry that this is happening to you. well first of all having irregular periods could be a result of a thyroid problem. but it could be something else. now the other symptoms could be a form of depression or guilt..... etc.
well has anything happened lately that you feel guilty about?
but for the other symptoms i think that you should go to the doctor for it. i'm terrified of needles as well but you need to go.
i hope i helped but you could also do a net search on your symptoms and see what comes up. or just call your doctor. ]
This doesn't sound good at all. Your period being irregular is the okay part but if your hair is falling out and you're just weak and tired, then you really need to go to the hospital and face your fear with needles. Would you want to get a blood sample and find out what this is, rather than having everything become worse? Really, a lot of people are terrified of shots but trust me, once you the blood sample is over, you won't be terrified of them. ]
I'm sorry, but I don't know what's wrong with you. Why don't you go to the doctor's? I had to go there once and they needed a blood sample too. When I got my blood sample they put the needle in my left index finger. But it didn't hurt at all. I felt so comfortable sitting there while they were taking a blood sample. And that's a true story. So try to overcome your fear and go to the doctor. If you don't do that then its your choice and I am not trying to tell you how to live your life. ]
those are symptons of anorexia or bulimia, but if you don't have either one of those, then you really should tell your mom.

Im terrified of needles, But once you get it over and done with its alot better because if you dont have a needle at some point when ever you have got could be come really serious and make you so ill. You could have what your mum has, or it might be dieabetes.

ok well did you at least talk to your mom about it? because these symptoms sound pretty serious...unless you use like acrilic nails on your nails, so they become weak, or you use straighteners that make your hair fall out...but any way, you need to over come your fear of needles and get a doctor.....sorry...but you do. ]
i recently got some blood taken out so they can test the same thing.Actually just last week. I was terrified of shots to but all they do is tie a rubber band around your arm to push some blood out and poke you with the tiniest needle. It wasn't bad at all.I was so proud of myself because I didn't even cry like I usually do.

you really need to go to the hospital.. even though they'll want a blood sample you really need to get it.. because if not.. something really bad might happen.. just when they go to take the blood Close your eyes.. and when the needle is in.. turn your head and open your eyes and breath.. its not all that bad..
I hope I helped
