I'm getting a hair straightening iron for 20 bucks. It's a ceramic ConAir with gold colored plates. Will it work as good as an expensive one, like a CHI?
Teza answered Sunday April 3 2005, 10:18 am: Conair products never work !! I have Revlon and its around $20 and it works really good. Get Revlon with gold plates. x0 [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]

xcuriousx0 answered Saturday April 2 2005, 11:50 pm: conair really isnt very good. the good ones are ceramic by helen and troy and perfessional ones...i would save up for a better one as opposed to wasting your money on a straightener that doesnt even work. ChEEtAh_X_gRL answered Saturday April 2 2005, 10:30 pm: its not going to work as well as a chi but that may not matter. i have a revlon one that was $20 dollars and it straightens my hair perfectly. but i have pretty straight hair already but like not perfectly straight cuz then i wouldnt use a straightner. if you dont need a chi you shoulndt buy one.
SoNuLiCiOuSsS answered Saturday April 2 2005, 10:20 pm: No... conair products NEVER work... try a hot tools str8 iron... it cost about $30 and it works really good (it works better than a chi in my opinion)... you can purchase it from Trade Secret or cosmetic center [ SoNuLiCiOuSsS's advice column | Ask SoNuLiCiOuSsS A Question ]

Karen answered Saturday April 2 2005, 8:41 pm: Ceramic straighteners are good straighteners and work well so it should work for you. It won't work as well as a CHI or a flat iron but it will straighten your hair like all straighteners do. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
