Hair Straightening Iron

Question Posted Saturday April 2 2005, 7:57 pm

I'm getting a hair straightening iron for 20 bucks. It's a ceramic ConAir with gold colored plates. Will it work as good as an expensive one, like a CHI?

Yes, it will. Ceramic straighteners are great! Buy biosilk for your hair, and spray it in both before AND after you straighten your hair. It will give you the same shine and softness as a salon straightener.

Hope I Helped! Jenna

conair really isnt very good. the good ones are ceramic by helen and troy and perfessional ones...i would save up for a better one as opposed to wasting your money on a straightener that doesnt even work.

its not going to work as well as a chi but that may not matter. i have a revlon one that was $20 dollars and it straightens my hair perfectly. but i have pretty straight hair already but like not perfectly straight cuz then i wouldnt use a straightner. if you dont need a chi you shoulndt buy one.

No... conair products NEVER work... try a hot tools str8 iron... it cost about $30 and it works really good (it works better than a chi in my opinion)... you can purchase it from Trade Secret or cosmetic center

No, that kind is really dangerous, especially for pregnant women and white men over age 55. It causes cancer and has been known to explode.

Karen answered Saturday April 2 2005, 8:41 pm:
Ceramic straighteners are good straighteners and work well so it should work for you. It won't work as well as a CHI or a flat iron but it will straighten your hair like all straighteners do.
