Canker Sores
I have a large and painful canker sore in my mouth that won't seem to go away. I've tried salt water and o-zone water (water that has anti-bacterial purposes). Are there any other remedies that'll help that I don't need to go and buy stuff for?

Hey, you know what will work fast?
It won't taste good but works very well.
ALUM. It is a pickling spice and can be found in any grocery in the spice section (if you don't have any). It is extremely sour, so don't go putting a ton in there. Just wet your finger a little, dip in in the alum and put on the canker sore. will stop hurting and shrivel up to nothing, probably by the next day. I kid you not it works very well! Cost is small and will last forever.:)

You need to go to the doctors because you could have AIDs or HIV.

maybe you should trying buying an over the counter medicine special for canker sores.. i've never used on but i've heard they work good... umm i think its called canka-____ something.. i forget sorry

My neighbor gets canker sores really bad too and here's what you do:
1. DO NOT share anything with anyone(chapstik,drinks,etc)
2. Go out and invest in a little round tub of carmex or any other lip balm for cold sores.
3. You might even want to call your doc and ask for a little advice on whats best but make sure you always have the lip stuff on.
4. stay away from kissing anyone
EXTRA TIP: you know when you brush your teeth in the morning, make sure you brush your lips with your toothbrush (NOT WHEN YOU HAVE A COLD SORE)and afterwards put on some chap stick (carmex works REALLLY well and you can find it in tubes, round tubs, and squeezy tubes.) Hope I helped!

when i have canker sores i use hydrogen peroxide with some water.this is how i do it
1.brush your teeth and everything
2.poor a little peroxide and a little water in a cup
and wash it out like rinsing your mouth with mouth wash DONT SWALLOW IT

trying salt water wont always help because of the fact that it gets spit right back out but trying salt by itself will definatley clean all the germs out of your canker sore although it will sting and ur canker sore might still take a couple days to heal it works if u continuosly put it on your sore...hope i helped

peroxide..ya ya i know its poiseness but just dont swallow it..its not harmful if not swallowed just rinse your mouth after...or you could use listerine!hope i helped!<3 ya

I think the best thing you can do is wait it out. Canker sores usually stay for 5-7 days and just disappear I guess. Whenever I have them, I just be careful when I eat and wait it out !
