Hey, sorry if this is confusing. But yeah, since it's lent, I have to go to confession today. And I know I've sinned, everyone does, but I just can't think of anything to say. Can someone help me? Is there anything I should tell him? I just can't think of anything. Thanks!

Erinn_the_bamf answered Saturday March 19 2005, 4:30 pm: You should at least say the basics that everyone does. Lies, curses, being jealous, and stuff like that. Also try telling the priest that you aren't sure about everything you have done. Besides he does say something like let God heal these sins and all others. Don't worry about it the priest should help you through it. I hope I helped! ♥ good luck [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]

I hope you think of them soon, and good luck at confession. :-) [ HeLpFuLhUnNiE916's advice column | Ask HeLpFuLhUnNiE916 A Question ]
lostinside answered Saturday March 19 2005, 2:08 pm: You can basically say anything. You can say I'm sorry for disobeying my parents/or elders, for stealing, for lying, for being mean, for using God's name in vain. Obviously only if you have actually done that stuff. Just anything you've done you feel was wrong. Goodluck..
Sherry answered Saturday March 19 2005, 1:49 pm: Okay well pray to God right now to let him show anything you have done. It works all the time because you ask God to show you stuff you've done and then you realize you do have sins to confess. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
Joze answered Saturday March 19 2005, 1:42 pm: These little rituals that some Religions have us go through at certain times of the year get us motivated to look deep into our selves so that we can look upward to our heavenly Father for forgiveness and guidance. As there is nothing wrong with this, we must remember that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior as the Bible tells us then we can forgo the middle man ( Priest) and go straight to God himself. Then our sins well pour out things that we did not even realize we did and our heavenly Father will be faithful to forgive wiping the slate clean... Because of Christ his Son..
Little_Miss_Cant_Be_Wrong answered Saturday March 19 2005, 1:38 pm: If you don't feel comfortable telling him specific things you have done, then just be general. Maybe there are some people that you haven't exactly been nice to lately? Then tell your priest that you have been unkind towards others, and you have not shown the love towards others that you should have. It can be general like that. Or, if you have been disobeying your parents, tell him that. Don't feel obligated to give him specific examples, it is ok to just say general things you have done wrong. Here are some more general examples that come to mind: not being truthful, being selfish, not showing compassion, not respecting your elders, not setting a good example for your little sister or brother... really, anything that you feel has been a little slacking lately. I hope this helped! [ Little_Miss_Cant_Be_Wrong's advice column | Ask Little_Miss_Cant_Be_Wrong A Question ]

chicitatoxalot answered Saturday March 19 2005, 1:32 pm: Maybe you could just tell him that you can't think of anything, litterally. I'm sure that he's heard it before, and he'll definatly hear it again, he can help you realize what an "Angel" you are.
Best wishes,
