What is the best kind of eye liner to use and won't smudge in the corner of your eyes or run...liquid or pencil? Also how can I get the Olivia Wilde look (Alex from the OC) I like the eye liner on the top lid but I'm not sure how to do it.

BEST EYELINER i think is the prestige kind or loreal. but um, when you apply it dont go ALL the way to the corners of your eyes. Thats where you can get eyeliner boogers. EEW i hate those. PENCIL is best, but MECHANICAL!!!!! not that crappy kind you have to sharpen. I dont know who that olivia girl is but i have top lid tips :::: dont apply ON the lid, go like this: pull up the lid with your finger and do you see that border thats just under your eyelash roots? put the eyeliner there. but be careful, it looks great. :D

i like the kind that twists up from the thing..well anyways to put it on the top, just either hold your eyelashes up and kinda close your eye until you see the eyelid thing and put it on that way or you can close your eye and hold your lashes down and put it as close as you can to your top lashes..any more questions just leave me one in my box..... plz rate

in my opinion the best kind of eyeliner depends on the brand both mac liquid and pencil work great for me!hope i helped.

Ive not watched the OC.Hope I can help anyway since that sounds like I do mine. Am I finally back in style? Wow.
I use liquid liner on top lid.Maybelline.You just draw a line from one side to the other.
On bottom I use pencil.Liquid burns like h if it gets in your eye.Easy to do on bottom lid.Don't put any on the wet part of bottom because it will just disappear.Put it right along bottom under lashes.

Liquid eye liner would be the one that doesn't smudge, but it's the hardest to put on. It won't smudge because when it drys, it pretty much acts like paint I guess you could say. Pencil I have found works the best when applying to the lower inside lid, lower outside lid, and upper inside and outter lid. But yes, it does come off easier. What I would reccomend doing is buying both liquid and pencil eye liner and experimenting with both of them. Be very careful when you're doing the inside of your upper lid because it's very very easy to stab yourself in the eye. Try to lift up your eye lid and start out using the pencil just so you can get the hang of it, and gently glide it onto the inside of your lid, if you miss a little spot go back and try it again. Do it with both eyes and then wash your face and try it with the liquid liner. Liquid liner burns really bad when you get it into your eye and yes, I do know that from experience. If you're not going for the INSIDE of your lid, pull your eyelid on the top while your eye is closed, and then run the eye liner on top of it. After a few tries you'll get the hang of it. Definately go with a pencil liner. I have found liquid liners to rub off, or even get little cracks in the line after a few hours.
This is what I would reccommend...seriously it's great. It's made by MAC (you can order it online, or they have MAC counters at alot of department store, like the Clinique or Estee Lauder counters) and its called Powerpoint eyeline. It truly does not move until you wash it off. It has a great texture, and applies very smooth.
To put eyeliner on your top lid, pull your eyelid tight, and trace a thin line (or thick, which ever you want) along your lash line. For a more subtle look, you can even just pencil over top your lash line, at the base of them, sort of. Just make sure to keep your hand steady, and not to draw to slowly, because you will have a bigger chance of making a wobbly line that way.

Liquid eyeliner goes on darker, and stays on longer but its really hard to get it perfect-looking (takes lots of practice). But long lasting eyeliner pencils would be MAC(expensive) Wet N' Wild(Not expensive but works great). Good luck! Oh and remember no eyeliner is perfect, so you might have to re-apply or whatever through out the day!

use revelon and it comes in this little individual package..and it says "wont smudge and looks freshly applied for 16 hours" or something like that on it. i use it and it work so great. its pencil but u like twist it and more pencil comes out..its not liquid though. it doesnt smear or anything and even if you go swimming it doesnt come off..i love it.
