Ebay problem

Question Posted Thursday March 17 2005, 6:37 pm

I purchased a pair of jeans off ebay on February 19, 2005. When they arrived, I was dissatisfied with them and requested a refund. On March 6, the person emailed me back saying they recieved the jeans and would send me a refund the next morning. After a week later, I emailed them back asking where the refund was. They said they never recieved the jeans. I emailed back saying I did send them the jeans. Today, I got an email from ebay saying I never sent payment! How is this possible if I recieved the jeans and requested a refund??? It's almost a month since I purchased these jeans and the refund isn't here! What do I do?

Additional info, added Thursday March 17 2005, 6:59 pm:
I did pay for them!!! The person said they never recieved payment but when I went to the place where I purchase the money order, they said the person cashed the money order on March 2! .

Hopefully you saved the emails and always buy delivery confirmation when you are shipping an item back to a seller. I sell on ebay and usually clothing is non-refundable, but if they told you they would give you a refund then they should, another thing you can do is contact ebay safe harbor and file a dispute.

Lets hope you still have the emails that were sent to you. Email eBay and file a complaint saying that you have the emails that the person sent you (Hopefully you still have them)eBay should be able to do something about it. If they ignore your complaint email again. Not after like 2 days though, keep in mind how many complaining eBayers there must be sending in emails all at once. Then, if you haven't done it all ready leave the person negative feedback.
Good luck (:

That so STUPID!! GRRRR I hate dishonest e-Bayers!
How can they say that you haven't paid for the jeans if you have them there and want to return them!!??!!
I would get hold of a contact at e-Bay and scan in some proof that you sent the money order and that it was cashed then send it to them.
If they ignore it then maybe you could contact SquareTrade.com these are the people that look into e-Bay disputes.
Hope this info helps and hope you get your refund!!!

As an eBay member, I know that things like this are hard to handle. If you haven't given negative feedback to this seller already, then do so. Basically, now you need to just be more careful about how you handle purchases. Remember this, DO NOT LEAVE FEEDBACK UNTIL THE TRANSACTION IS FULLY COMPLETE. So long as you have the ability to give the seller a negative feedback, they will usually cooperate. Don't give a positive one early and give up that right!

You might as well forget about getting your money back on this one. All you can do now is learn from this mistake, and become a smarter buyer because of it. People knock on eBay all the time, but if you know what you're doing, you can avoid scams and such with ease.

Ok, first of all, never buy anything from the freaking internet unless it's from a store that you shop at like from the mall or something! Second, you got really screwed with that. Remember never buy something over the internet, go shop at the mall or something!
