Question Posted Thursday March 17 2005, 5:25 pm

well its kinda a 2 part question.

Well my aunts getting married, and im in her wedding. me and my other aunt HATE the dresses ALOT. we dont want to wear them at all. what should we do?

And i want to look good in the dress if i have to wear it, and im thinking about tanning and going on a diet of just water and like salad and fruit... but the thing is i dont eat alot. the only meal i eat is lunch and im never hungry. i think its because i dont exercise enough.. even though i play alot of sports and im pretty active.. i dont know what the problem is.

Its your aunt, Its once in a life time (for most people anyway) chance for them to get married. Most dresses are ugly anyways. Weddings are wierd! Some are beautiful for scenery but the dresses are ugly! Just fake it <> suck it up and have fuN! The dress doesnt count, its your hair! lol!

Maybe try to go to the gym more and work out, if you eat healthy and excersize enough, your fine! I hoped i helped! xoxo BLONDE911

Well, first of all - it's not your wedding, and you don't get to pick the dresses. They're usually ugly anyway, just deal with it. (Sorry if that was harsh).
Secondly, tanning I guess is okay, but don't do the diet thing. Thats pretty much like going anorexic, and when your body is not getting enough food, it stores everything you consume as fat. So you get fatter before you get skinny.. And it's addictive (I don't think thats the right word) so soon you'll be eating less and less.. You should probably just eat healthy and exercise a lot and get a tan and you'll look fine in the dress, even if it is ugly! hope i helped!

Like some of the others said, you'll probably just have to deal with the dresses. It is your aunt's wedding. You wouldn't want to hurt her by telling her you hate them. You only have to wear it once. Try thinking of the positive things, like how lucky you are to be in the wedding.

Tanning isn't such a great thing to do. I mean, sure it'll get you darker. But in the long run it can really hurt you, because of the UV rays. I'm not sure if the bottled tanning stuff works too great, or is any better, but maybe it is? I'd look into the bottled tanning stuff..

I wouldn't recommend that diet. I'm sure you'll look fine in the dress =). If you wanted to you couold try exercising more, do crunches, work out etc. Maybe just try eating healthier, like eating fruits and vegetables.

Hope I helped!

Sujest another dress... or a few that you and your other aunt like. Just tell her the truth becuase you dont want her to have an ugly wedding, so just go up to her with maybe two or three different dresses that you grls like.
h.i.h.

The problem is you're not eating enough.I have same problem myself.Eat more...check out some other q's I've answered for more details on that one.

The thing about the dress is all dresses but the brides are usually unbelivably ugly. But, it is her wedding so ya do what ya gotta do to make her happy! You wear them and change ASAP after.

First of all, you may not like my answer here, but you two are just going to have to deal with the dresses. It's your aunt's wedding, and unfortunately you all don't get a say. It's just a few hours in one day, with photos that will go into a wedding album nobody will ever really see. Plus, it's every bride's God-given right to punish any and all bridesmaids and other members of the wedding party with the ugliest dresses she can find! I think it just makes the bride look even more beautiful on her big day.

Answer to question #2: The problem with your health and nutrition is that you've screwed some things up here. Problem #1-You only eat lunch: You should eat on average 5-6 times per day, especially if you're physically active. Each meal should include at least 20g of protein. You're never hungry because you've re-trained your appetite. You've got to kick-start your metabolism again so that you have your healthy appetite back. You should feel a little hunger every 3 hours or so. To start this process, you'll have to consciously eat something throughout the day whether you're hungry or not. Exercise will counter any weight gain possibilities. Sorry, I used to manage a health club!

okay about the whole diet thing, if you eat like a piece of fruit for breakfest it will help you loose weight, because your metabolism doesnt even start working until you eat your first meal of the day so if you eat just lunch then your metabolism isnt even starting to work until mid day. so that will help you loose weight, you dont have to eat much just a little. and i dont know how to help about the whole dress thing. hope i helped let me know how it goes. **tink**

your problem may be this: not eating makes you gain weight. the reason for this is because it slows down your metabolism. eat THREE squares meals EVERYDAY AND EXERCISE....not to be harsh but to put it simply a diet of just water salad and fruit is in one word stupid because you dont get any energy....

in not sure how dark your skin is but tanning isnt a very good idea either. if you mean going to a tanning bed im pretty sure the radiation is horrible....

and i dont know you but think of when you are 50 years old...do you want to look at wedding pictures and see yourself wearing a dress or do you not care? plus its not your wedding...so when you do get married YOU can decide what you want.

sorry if you dont like my advice or if you are forced to wear a dress you dont want to..

but remember just eating water, salad and fruit is BAD for you...
