BurnieMac answered Tuesday March 22 2005, 2:30 pm: Last year before summer, I went from 210 pounds to 160 pounds. The key to losing weight is to watch what you eat. You have to eat good. Don't starve yourself or you won't make progress. Exercise is the second biggest factor. You are probably looking for tone. If in fact you are looking to get more toned, you need to do more aerobic and cardiovascular work(running, biking, swimming). Light weights for high reps will also speed the toning process. Following a diet program is hard at first, but it gets easier. Drink only water; eat only <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="[Link](Mouse over link to see full location); onmouseover="window.status='fruit and vegetables'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">fruit and vegetables</a>, and no fried meats, and you should do just fine. If you have anymore questions about this subject or any other feel free to ask me. [ BurnieMac's advice column | Ask BurnieMac A Question ]

karenR answered Thursday March 17 2005, 6:13 pm: I've lost 29 lbs. so far! Yeah!
I be sure and eat 3 meals a day.Between I eat a lot of fruit.I keep my portions small so I eat normal food.I try to eat salads twice a day before meals.I eat yogurt 3 times a day...whatever flavor you like.non fat kind.
My problem has been NOT Eating much and this makes your body go into a starvation mode and actually makes you gain weight.Plus I have thyroid issues. It has been working for me so far.I didn't believe I could gain weight by trying to eat very little but, I guess it's true.so, don't even try that route! And try to do some walking or other exercise depending on how overweight you are.If you need any help sticking with it or just want to talk feel free to ask me okay? Lots of luck!:} [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
lostinside answered Thursday March 17 2005, 2:28 pm: Well, try to eliminate junk food from your diet. Eat fruits and vegetables for a snack instead of junk food. Instead of drinking soda, drink water. Watch your calories, and fat intake. DO NOT starve yourself though. Just try to eat healthier. Also, try to exercise regular. Walk everyday, take the stairs instead of the elevator, work out, play sports etc.
FunkyHoMoSapien answered Thursday March 17 2005, 11:43 am: well i've never been on a diet before but i no wat will help! one, dont drink soda's! i no its hard, but its important. second, eat tons of fruits and vegatables instead of snacks and other stuff. if you're ever hungry, drink a glass of water first, then see how hungry you are, and if you're not the hungry anymore it means your thirsty. you body often gets thirst mixws up with hunger. i hope i helped! chaos answered Thursday March 17 2005, 9:21 am: The biggest favor you can do for yourself is cut out all of the sodas. They are a huge waste of calories. Just cutting back is a huge improvement. Replace it with water. It has taken me several months, but by eating more vegetables, less meat, and less sodas, I have dropped 20lbs. But it is a daily fight.
