Everytime you try to smoke, think of the poor baby animal (and yes, humans do count!), and soon you will no longer want to smoke. [ gakkuhideto's advice column | Ask gakkuhideto A Question ]

Try Nicotine patches or gum..maybe have your mom (im assuming she knows you smoke) to hold onto your cigerettes and only give you 2 for the day..then slowly cut back. Let see.. Do you live anywhere near Ny or CT? If so go to fox5news.com i dont know if its still on there..but there was a section about a doctor who can treat smokers and make them stop smoking. Its quite amazing because it doesnt require a patch or pill. It costs about $90 a session. He has offices in NYC and somewhere in CT.
Hope one of those options work..and best of luck with the quitting! Im so happy your quitting now..its best to quit now because doctors say its easier to do it now than it is when you get older.

Karen answered Wednesday March 2 2005, 7:03 am: To quit smoking, you can start chewing more gum instead of smoking, since it stops your cravings. You can also try the Nicorette patch and gum because they both work. Tell your friends and family that when ever you want a cigarette, tell them to tell you not to and then they can hide it. I used to smoke and I just chewed a lot of gum and I eventually stopped over time.
