Why does it matter so much?!
Why do people make fun of white people? I mean, it's just a color....Also, people will make fun of me because I'm Jewish and it hurts because Jews fought for their freedom just like black people, so why is skin color such a big deal?

People fear what they don't understand and hate what they can't conquer. I'm black, and I often think about things like that, as well. I have an international group of friends. I have friends from Asia, Africa, America, etc...Sometimes, when people feel uncomfortable and unsure about themselves, the usually make fun of others to take the slack off, and make themselves feel better. Also, steryotypes is another issue. When I go into white surburbia, most people look at me like I'm a thug's girlfriend or something, but I'm not, I would be more like a punk's girlfriend, but anyways, people aren't always opened minded and they believe everything they've heard and learned without questioning it, so they don't think for themselves. I think its stupid for peoplr to be like that, that would be like me hating white people because of slavery, thats stupid, the family I live with is white, and they aren't "slave masters" ya' know. In all my rambling, I hope you got something out of this, and if you didn't thats ok, too. But remember this; you can't teach anyone anything, you can only make them think.

I'm white. I guess black people hate white people bc they were our slaves. But that was so long ago. And also bc they didn't have all the rights we had. But they do now. I was watching the trivia tack on Legally Blonde and it said when the romans invaded gaul (*france) they took blonde people as slaves. I don't hate romans even tho I'm blonde, so black people shouldn't hate white people. Jewish people had it rough a long time ago and they had to fight really hard for freedom and stuff..so no one should make fun of you...its just bc you're different and they're concieted and think they're the best ever...

Hey, I'm Jewish too, and white. Nobody should ever be made fun of because of their race or religion. Yes, the Jewish people fought for their freedom very hard in many situations. So when someone gives you a hard time about being Jewish, ask them if 6 million of their people died in WWI. It should shut them up. Or you could just say very nicely, "I'd appreciate it if you kept your comments about someone's religion to yourself, no one's judging you, so where do you get off judging me?." About being white.. skin color is not a big deal. Many times when people make fun of others they're not being serious, but if they are, just ignore them or tell them to again keep their comments to themselves. Besides we all only come from one race: the human race.

I definitely agree with you that people shouldn't make fun of someone, just because they are a different race and color. That is wrong and no one should be treated that way. Everyone is the same, we are all human beings and that does not make a difference. To some people, skin color is a big deal because whoever is a different race and color than them, they assume that these people are different and they then make fun of them. If people are making fun of you, just because you are Jewish, definitely ignore them and tell them that everyone is the same and they shouldn't be making fun of you because what goes around, comes around.

This is very immature and totally rude of these people. People who make fun of others just because of their race, should be ignored or hit over the head with something. That's just wrong and they shouldn't be doing that. People are people. We all breathe the same. So why hate on eachother because of a different race? Whoever is making fun of you, ingore them and don't let them see that what they are saying is bothering you. Once they realize that whatever they're calling you isn't getting to you, they'll stop!
