Don't wait until you're 27. You only need to wait a couple of years. The deal is that you don't want to be unduly influenced by someone who knows the ways of the world before you, and can take advantage of that knowledge to use against you. Now, you are very close to having a pretty good head on your shoulders and being out of your parents direct supervision. So, you will be better able to enjoy being with the older guy when you are both sharing more similar lives anyway.

I think you should just wait a few more years until you are legal. Being 17 and him being 25 years old sounds younger than being 27 and him being 35 years old. Just wait a few more years and it will be better.

Um... sorry to answer a question with a question, but whats the legal age of consent in the US? Over here you can legally get laid at 16, so in the eyes of the law you'd be fine. Morally/ spiritually, its all up to you. If you love someone, dont wait.

Okay, That is an 8 year differance. Not that anything is wrong just um, maybe you want to stick with people your age. But if you trully love him. Date him when you are 20 and he is 28!!
