I complain a LOT. And half the time I do it without meaning to...and it's starting to annoy me, let alone the people around me. Any tips on how I can stop complaining, or at least reduce the amount of complaining I do?
I whinge about all sorts of things, from the weather to homework to the fact that I'm tired/hungry/bored...whatever. It sucks, I feel like I don't have a good word to say about anything any more...I want to be positive again, but how?

Ugh, I know your feeling. Think of this: People have it worse than you sometimes. I know it seems weird, but it helps. ♥ ]
before you start to complain, think about what you're going to say & just .. DON'T SAY IT. try & say something positive instead, and hopefully you'll stop thinking about complain-y things. ]
Everything you're about to complain about think about the good in it and say it out loud. Never the bad, thats actually called being optimistic, lol, I'm a silly head, anyways always look for the good in everything, like if its a rainy day, just try saying "well, at least the flowers are going to grow, and it will be more beautiful on a sunny day." Even if its stupid, like that one!

Wow i like that too..so i can relate to this and everybody tells me that im like that too but i didnt jus like start being like that recently or anything i been like this i jus speak my mind but everybody seems to think i complain..but anyways jus think about what ever you want to say before saying it..and also maybe think positive about everything..theres a positive thing to everything..much luv dez ]
Watch some feel-good films; read some feel-good books; buy a joke book; do anything that'll cheer you up.
Alternatively, have an elastic band (or maybe several) on your wrist and whenever you complain (about something trivial, anyway) snap it. Eventually you will get used to not complaining as much. Good luck!

Well when you find yourself complaining stop yourself say this really gets on my nerves and i'm sure other people don't wanna hear it... just think about things really hard and I know u can do it.. lots of luck ]
Try to think about WHAT your complaining about at first. If it really isn't that big of a deal, just drop it. I use to be the same way. I would try to wake up and think about the GOOD things to start with, it should make everything alot easier to compliment on. Besta Luck ]
Before you know that you are about to complain about something, think before you do it and try to distract yourself. I have to agree with angieroonie and that if you try to snap a hair elastic or just a rubber band right before you are about to complain, this will help you not complain anymore. Don't worry, it's alright to be like this and this will eventually die out. Hope I helped :)

you seem depressed. im not kidding i ahve a friend and i used to be REALLy close to her and i STILL love her but everytime we're aroumnd she yells at me for forgeting to call her back and how she is ugly ajnd that she hates her life and everything around her sucks! so i just flat out told her taht she needs to get some help (not in a mean way. but only bcuz i love her) or she needs to think posotivley!!! lol hope i helped xox Ari ]
try not to b sooooo negative. look on the bright side. smile and make compliments and accept what is what it is (homewrk ect.) you can jus block it out of your life.

Think before you speak. Everytime you go to complain, bite your tongue. Or you could use a rubber band. Snap it when you go to complain. ]

start to think positive when there is something that u do not like just think positive. oh and donot complain. ]

the good old fashioned way!!! get a rubber band and whenever you start thinking how much things suck, snap it on your wrist. every time you do this you brain takes note and before you know it your brain will associate pain with negative thoughts. good luck!
