I had "boobs" for about 3-ish years before I got my period. Don't stress, you're normal, and getting your period isn't nearly as exciting or fun as it may seem. Assuming you are a healthy weight and don't have any other serious illnesses, it is only a matter of time.

If you turn 18 and you still haven't menstruated, then go see a doctor. Before then, you're still plenty healthy and normal.

Nothing...don't sweat NOT having your period yet. I got mine when I was TEN. Consider yourself lucky. Everyone is different when it comes to periods.

You're a late bloomer. (In a way) It will happen sooner or later. But don't be in such a rush for it, becuase it's not the best thing about being a girl. =

Why are you in such a rush. Trust me when you do get your period you'll wish you never got it. Ask your mom when she got her period, because you'll most likeyly get it at the same age as she did. You're normal, Some girls even get it as late as 16.

Nothing is wrong with you. Everyone is different and so are their hormones. If you see period signs then you prolly have it soon but you might not. Its tottaly normal. Many girls have it when thye are sixteen so ddont be impatient, ill happen. If you super worried about not having your period you can go to a doctor andget a check-up to see if you have any internal problems whivh is preventing your period. Hope I helped :)

Sweetie, there is nothing wrong with you; you're just one of those girls who will get their period at a later age than other girls. It's no big deal. You are really lucky that you haven't gotten it yet because it's a pain going through it. Your period will be irregular and you will get cramps. Some girls start early and some girls start late. My friend started her period at the age of 9 and another girl that I know got hers when she was 17. Don't worry about it, you're fine. Hope I helped :)

Nothing's wrong with you. It'll come in its own time. Believe me, you aren't missing out on anything. RELISH THE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT BEFORE IT STARTS.

xlngwoodsbellax answered Monday January 24 2005, 8:10 am:
You could be getting it soon. Keep in mind some people dont get it until they're 16. Although its something you want to have, I suggest you dont rush it. Having your period isn't the best thing either. You have to use pads and tampons when you're young and with that money you could be doing something else. Like going bowling or seeing a movie! Not to mention the few pairs of underwear you could stain when you least expect it. But when you're older you might choose to have a baby and that (including your pubic hair, boobs, hips and all other new feminine features) is what your period comes in handy for. Dont worry it will probably come sooner or later, but if you're 16 and you still dont have it, go see a doctor. Just to make sure everythings ok.
Good luck!

i know tons of people who are developedd with really big boobs who still don't have their period. and then i know really skinny underdeveloped people who had their period for years. theres nothing wrong with any of these people. but im thinking, if you have the signs then you'll most likely get it this year.

AKSherma answered Monday January 24 2005, 7:34 am:
You're only 14 years old and it is normal to have secondary sexual characteristics before your first period (menses). It is at the age of 16 that doctors will evaluate you for what is called primary amenorrhea (which is a fancy way of saying you've never had a period. Secondary amenorrhea means that your period has stopped but you did have it before- those common causes are anorexia and drug use). There could be many reasons for that but that would involve a hormone workup, which all are so rare. If you have normal hair growth in your armpit, pubic area etc, that eliminates a lot of them.

Teengirl is right though and you should enjoy yourself before it comes. If you are really worried though then you can talk to your doctor about it and he/she can get some hormone levels on you- although they'll probably just want ot wait.

Hope this helps put your mind at ease a bit.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing, some 15 year old teens don't have their periods yet, you just have to wait, but let me let you in on a secret with periods: They suck, they're gross, and sometimes, they become painful (the cramps). You'll wish you were back at the age of 13 or 12 wondering when your period is going to come, lol. Anyways, just give it time, you'll get it, but if you hit 16 and don't get it, thats when you should be stressing a little. But it will come, don't worry, enjoy the time you have left of not having it!
