TheTeenGirl answered Monday January 24 2005, 7:15 am: Man, me too, it sucks, my parents always try to talk me into taking piano lessons or something, maybe you can find a hobby you're good at, like drawing, writing, ballet, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, or just running. Or you can go to a bookstore and find a new book you've never seen and try reading it. I hope I gave you some ideas.
GiR_RoX_mY_SoX answered Sunday January 23 2005, 4:04 pm: still do what you usaully do but add a few things in like make plans to go out with your friends and get involved with sports or somehting.

If you have problems thinking of new ways to spice up your life, that's an easy solution. It might even lead you to new things which you find you really enjoy.
Another option is doing something more longterm - is there an instrument you want to learn to play? A team you want to join? You'll get better and better, which will change the dynamics of the activity.
In the meantime, find a friend who feels like you do and let your ideas go wild. Go buy some cheap paint and a big canvas. Make yourself and your friends a big, old fashioned picnic for lunch one day. Do something cheesy and horrible - go rollerskating on 80s music night.
icey0990 answered Thursday January 20 2005, 9:29 pm: I feel exactly what your talking about. They key is to change things up a litte. Do something you wouldnt normally do..like join karate..a gym...or a club. Make new friends and hang out with them. Maybe even hang out with one of your friends you dont normally hang out with outside of school. You'll be suprised how much fun you'll have and it could lead to a new friendship. go somewhere you dont usually go..like a club..bowling alley..anywhere! Maybe on the weekend wake up and do something different like go on a long walk while listening to your cd player. Its the little stuff..but it makes a difference!

BeautifulMadness answered Thursday January 20 2005, 2:07 pm: Hey!
What do you actually do in a day? If you can, try joining some kind of club (it could be anything, from aerobics to a book club), going out new places with friends, maybe even getting a pet if you could! Think of any activities you can do or would like to try, write them on little pieces of paper and stick them in a hat (oh yes, the good old hat method :P) and pick one out every day/week :)
As for makign your life more happy - try to make a conscious effort to not complain about things. Complaining is like a vicious circle - once you're into it, you just can't get out and it keeps making things worse. If you are a complainer (like me :P) then try and find something good in every day and just focus on that instead!
I hope that helped!!
Blessed Be,

jbdreamer answered Thursday January 20 2005, 12:55 pm: Fill your time with fullfilling activites. Such as volunteering at the local Humane Society and walking dogs. Take a evening class like cooking or dancing. Join a bowling leage. Join any club like a youth group that has weekly activities. Find a new hobby. Learn to play an instrument. Anything that gets you out of the house, and you would look forward to doing. Be creative! [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
