Today my dog fell down the stairs, and she can't really walk. She can, but she falls over and stuff. She keeps throwing up flem and foam. We're taking her to the vet in a few hours. I was wondering, they won't have to put her to sleep right? Like, the worst they could do is give her fake legs?? Thanks =(

If you are going to vhave to give your dog fake legs thats going to cosr you guys a fortune! im not sure if she will even want to be alive. if she will justbe in pain the rest of her life then you are making her life horrible. The best thing would be to put her to sleep! but... it may not be that Serious she might be fine and jus hurting alil from the fall or something.. well i wish u the best!! ]

Once I had a cat that could not walk because it got a blood claud in its legs but we put it down because it was in way too much pain.A vet will never put a animal to sleep without ur permission first but if your pet is really in pain I would suggest putting it to sleep because it really saves your pet from a lot of pain it may be sad but if you really care about it and it is in bad pain then you will put it down.
P.S If you do end up putting ur pet down I am very sorry for your loss then

The vet is probaly going to give her medicine or something and if that doesn't work, yes she might have to be put to sleep ]
She probably has broken legs or something, or maybe she had some internal injuries (refering to the phlegm) even if she does die, we have to realize that all things die, most often the things we care most about. My dog had a heat stroke sort of things, and the neurological damage sort of screwed with her legs. We fed her chicken and rice because it was the only thing she would eat, and slowly we put dog food into it, She finally got better and her legs were much better now. Have hope. ]
I don't think she'll have to be put down. They might just give her something to help her legs out. My dog has bad legs too. That happened to her aswell, she didn't have to get put down or fake legs. She just got some pills and she was okay. I hope everything will be okay with your dog hun!

they probably wont put her to sleep, it sounds too severe for just falling down the stairs. like, if you fell down a mountain, do they kill you because they cant' cure you? ]
it depends on what happened to her legs...she could have broke them but i dont know why she would be throwing up foam and stuff..maybe something your fed her?umm or like an organ(sp)that she damaged ]
well it depends on whats wrong with the legs....if they are really bad..they probly will amputate them..tell me what happens!..hope that helped ]
You can't be 100% positive sorry.... but I don't think it sounds like they'll have to put him to sleep. Like if he's pretty old he won'thave a good a chance. If he's like 2-3 he might have a better chance of healing faster becuase his body is stronger. Drop one and my inbox and Pleaseeee tell me how things turn out. I absolutely LOVE dogs and would feel terrible if anything happned to your beloved pet and family member. ]
Sounds to me like your dog has more than just a broken leg(s). She probably has some internal bleeding. Hope your vet can help. ]
It just depends on what all is wrong with your dog. if your dog is really old and sick they may have to but maybe not I know how it feels to lose an dog I have lost5 in all they all died but I have my teddy bear now so I am happy but I still do miss them ]
This sounds more like your pet has a concussion and a pierced lung from a broken rib or two. Depending on how bad her injuries are she could make a full recovery, but it will be extremely expensive. The worst thing about having an injured pet in this last case is can you afford treatment? With a human there is a legel obligation for care. A vet can refuse to treat your pet if you can't afford the treaments. Many times loved pets are put down not because they can't be healed, but because their owners can not afford to pay for the medical bills. Fake legs, would not be a good option in anycase. A three-legged dog can have a great life, and some dogs do well with both hind legs missing. I don't think that is the case here. Yes, she may have to be put down. Just pray she has no internal bleeding and that her lung does not collapse. If she requires surgery you may have some hard choices to make. I wish you luck, please let me know what happens. Big hug! ]
Sorry about your dog sweetie. And no I don't think they will put her to sleep.
