Me and my bofriend, Rob, have been going out about a month. We dated for about 2 months b4 I asked him out. It seems whenever we hang out its boring. He's already told me he loves me and wants to marry me. We're 16 and 17 btw. I recently met this guy named Ed. He seems cool and everything. Before Ed, everything with Rob was fine but since I met Ed the stuff between me and Rob seems boring and predictable. So my question is should I dump Rob and persue Ed or should I stay with Rob and see what happens?

Maybe you just need sometime to yourself and think things out. Girls can get confused sometimes. Just give it time to see who you like more. Or maybe you could do some exciting things with Rob and make your relationship more worth while.

DrAnqel answered Tuesday January 4 2005, 7:41 pm: Stay with Rob and see if things liven up. If after a while, you still have feelings for Ed, and Rob is still boring you, I would pursure Ed. Just remember, if Ed isn't Mr. Perfect, Rob probably won't take you back. Go for it, good luck and I hope I helped. Keep me posted -Angel [ DrAnqel's advice column | Ask DrAnqel A Question ]

MyPainIsReal answered Tuesday January 4 2005, 7:25 pm: On this situation, you need to think. Do you love Rob? Is it really worth staying with him to see what happens? Do you think you could do better by persuing a relationship with Ed? This decision is all based on how you feel for each guy. Look at their qualities and see which ones are the best for you. Think about the common interest you have between the two. Are you compatiable? Which guy do you think you could get along with better? Do you think Rob and you could work things out and feel that the relationship is interesting again or do you want something more exciting as a relationship like you have seemed to find with Ed? I can't tell you which one to pick because I don't know enough information about the two guys. But it seems from your wording above that Ed is the best for you. Think about all the questions I have just listed and then make your decision. Sit down and focus on how YOU feel and then decide. Tough yet easy. good luck. Lady_M answered Tuesday January 4 2005, 7:16 pm: you should defenitly think. Is rob all that bad?? DO you find youself trapped in akward pauses?? or do you just find him less interesting and think "OO! what would ed do?" or " what would Ed would do ?" because if rob just has puppy love and YOU really dont like him any more or see him as a material object- then dump him. Try taking a break. see what this Ed is all about. if it doesnt work out, then go back to Rob.
