PrettyPinkBeastie answered Monday December 27 2004, 9:40 am: Well, ask if instead of having short, blunt bangs if you can have long, sideswept ones. Those look classic and flatter almost any face shape!

*Kate* answered Sunday December 26 2004, 6:16 pm: Ok I would either: Go get them cut without her or, start to cut them so there not short enough to be bangs and then cry and beg her tho take you to the salon to get it fixed

NEVERLETG00 answered Saturday December 25 2004, 11:03 pm: hmm.. try convincing her by showing her pictures of how you want it, different hair styles and see what she likes best and maybe you both can work it out, if not i guess that your just going to have to wait, but i know that if i like a hairstyle that my mom doesn't like, i try to work around it and then i eventually get what i want =) it always works out that way hehe. but bangs sound really cute! hope your mom gives in. Zach_Attack answered Saturday December 25 2004, 8:40 pm: geez, when it comes to your mom, there isnt anything you really can do, unless you go behind her back, or turn 18. whichever comes first. but dont go against her, you'll regret it in the long run. hope i helped! =) [ Zach_Attack's advice column | Ask Zach_Attack A Question ]

danceonme answered Saturday December 25 2004, 8:34 pm: Hah. My mom told me that my hair is "hers" until I turn 18.
Advice? Approach your mom and breach the subject. Tell her what you're interested in doing, mention that your hair will eventually grow out and you want to try something.
Another idea might be to (with her permission, of course) get side bangs or lower bangs. These won't take as long to grow out if you hate the look, and if they grow on your mom-and you, of course- you can get them cut to the length you want. [ danceonme's advice column | Ask danceonme A Question ]
