Addiction
I really need some help. For the past almost 6 years of my life, i have been looking at porno. I am addicted. It is literally ruining my life. It takes time away from my hobbies, my family, and my relationship with God. Can someone please advise me on how to stop this addiction? Please dont ban this question either. I truely need help

pray and ask God to help you get over the addiction. I am glad that you admit that it is an addiction. go and ask some leaders at your church to help you. You need copuncilling and support. also have lots of other stuff to do to get your mind off of it. e.g going out with your friends. pray heaps and God will Help you!!!! i am so happy you want to get out of the addiction because i am a girl and i think that porn is just as bad as hiring a slut.

This would be considered an addiction and unhealthy because it is taking time away from your everyday life. You need to seek counseling as soon as possible. Your alternatives could be taking up a sport or joining a club at your school. In which would take time away from watching porn. Good luck.

Porn is fine once in a while. Try to get yourself to only look at it once every other day. Then once a week. If you can do that you'll be fine. Also I don't know if your single or not but being in a relationship would help.

Well since its bother you go and Block the sites yourseld, and then when the addiction comes it will take to long to get it and i bet u will jus give up on it, its good that ure Prooities are ure Friends, family and god. so that shows that you have the right state of mind, I bet it will pass soon, if not why not get a boyfeind those take up alot of time!! lol

is nice to hear your dedication to God and your family, i like that. okay lets see.......... whenever you want to remember that God is always watching you. WATCHING YOU. try to clear your mind and think of something more valuable for your time. you could be a genius by now if you put all the time to studying. rather than that, find a sport or friends to hang out with that your interested in. i wouldn't advise getting a gurl, b/c that can make things worse sometimes and you still lose your focus. just pray about it and distract yourself from it. soon it will no longer be a "necessity."

As with any addiction, you need help to overcome your desires. Seek a therapist who specializes in sex related problems. You will be more comfortable knowing that you can tell someone about your problem and have the support of someone who TRUELY understands the pain of your addiction. Sexually based issues like porn addiction are very common, but so many people are too embarrassed by them to admit to the problem. I'm heartened that you have taken this first step in the healing process. (God, I sound so trite, but I'm being honest.) Your addiction will need professional assistance to overcome. There is no Niccorett for porn addiction. Don't feel ashamed that you need this help. Don't back away from reaching farther than the computer for your solution. If you're really against it then I think you should make it hard to get to.
Delete it all off your computer, set up parental blocks, throw it away in a public trash can thats covered, and stay away.
Think of what is motivating you to make this change in your life and think about how you will be jepordizing it if you return to pornography.
