Yes, they gave my sister the same thing, you can go buy pacages of salt at places like clares, hott topic, or after thoughts, and all you have to do is add it to water, as far as anything else i don't know

hey yes you can clean it with sea salt or just normal salt is wut i used. you mix the salt with warm water in a cup and use it as a vaccum to soak ur piercing for comfort and to my opinion you dont have to clean it twice a day just wen you are in the shower is fine cuz that wut i do with mine and it never got infected or anything. i prefer the DIAL body wash stuff. thats wut i used. dont ever use alochol it eats the skin. hope i helped. take care. x3 SweetStar.

HEY!! i got mine done too in june.. and they told me to wash it with dial soap 2-3 times a day and then use bactine on it.. mine healed in about 2 months.. it works really good.. .. DO NOT USE alcohol or peroxide it will kill cells that need u need to have for it to heal.. and do NOT use a band-aid it has to have air.. oh and when you clean it like twist the ring around.. it will hurt a little the first day or so but it helps it not hurt as long!!

well sea salt will actually make your skin burn especially in the wound area.. you should just use regular rubbing alcohol and cover it up with a bandage... also don't do a lot of things that require you using your belly button area

ok i havent exactly ever gotten my belly button pierced but for open wounds like that the best thing to use is warm salt water. you could always use hydrogen peroxide (diluted lol) itll hurt like hell but it cleans better.

Hey.

When I got mine done, I used the sea salt and I swear by it! 1/4 of a teaspoon to 8 oz of water is the best way to make it. I personally wouldn't use Bactine on piercings, but that's just me. Contact cleaner soultion will also work well on piercings. Good luck & enjoy your piercing!

You should use sea salt and a medical soap called Provon. If at a mall near you there is a booth with belly button rings and stuff like that just ask for the Provon soap. When i got mine pierced the guy gave it to me that it is required for me to clean it twice a day using a qtip wet the qtip put a dime size of the soap and clean through the piercing and make sure you rinse out all the soap after your done! The whole sea salt thing put 1/4 a teaspoon into a plastic cup and fill the cup halfway with warm water mix the water and salt so it dissolves and put the cup over your piercing and form a vacum and hold it there for 2 - 3 minutes do this 3 - 4 times a week.

well im not quite sure if thats right but i am sure that bactine and this stiff called provon works well and you defintely should look into. PLus bactine can found in drugstore but that provon stuff might be hard to but it would be sold a t a piercing place. Good luck!
